Weight is the symptom, not the problem. ... King: This is not purely American, is it? Or is it? .... Greene: No, it's starting to shift over into Australia, New Zealand, overseas. So it's not uniquely American.

Former model: Fret over being fit, not how you look

    Story Highlights

Ex-model Kathy Ireland: Quit worrying about image, start taking care of your heart

Oprah's trainer Bob Greene: Weight gain often a signal of something else wrong

But the most important thing for those struggling with weight is they need to change how they live their life, outside of more exercise and changing their eating habits. Are you in a bad relationship, not happy with you career, have you lost your job, or is there some other factor involved? Eating to provide comfort is not right, and that’s what really needs to change, but it is the hardest thing to change.

Yeah, obesity is far from just an American problem.

Although fast food culture is a problem with the Anglo-American economic model.

How can something that tastes so good, be so bad? icon_wink.gif

    Love the article/interview.

As for that burger, it reminds me of a heavy girl in a tight top and pants with the bulge overflowing from both. Yah know, like this:

Geez, for a fat girl she has really small boobs.

^ Lol, that pic's a lesson in cause and effect anyhow.

Though, no matter how many gross-out pictures you show me, there will always be a special place in my heart for Burger King.

    (cue: clogged arteries joke).

She's probably about 11 or 12 by the looks of her lack of cleavage...

But then her weight is just a symptom, along with overeating and lack of exercise...the true disease is those inconsiderate and bigoted pants that expect everyone to be taller than they are wide...
