Alright guys, I am heading to Chicago this weekend and I am looking for some advice. This will be my first time experiencing the "Windy City" and that is why I need some help! If there is one thing I absolutely must do...what is it? Thanks for the help!

This is a great time to come to Chi Town, our gay film fest is this weekend at various venues throughout the city, and of course there is boystown and the usual haunts. Here is the site for the film fest: www.reelingfilmfestival.org

    Enjoy

Go up to the observation deck on either the Sears Tower or John Hancock Building. The views are stunning, and you won't regret it.

(Personally, I like the Hancock Building's views better)

Abosolutely agree with vince_in_chicago... It's more of an eating town than anywhere I have ever lived before! Get out there and do it! I personally recommend Reza's on Ontario Street if you like Mediterranean Food, and any of the Thai restaurants on East 55th street if you find yourself in Hyde Park... also a good burger/pizza joint on East 57th Street called the Medici. If you were to go to the Museum of Science and Industry, you'd be pretty close to it... and it would be worth the trip. MSI is pretty cool.

Best coffee joint in town is the Pick Me Up on Clark Street between Belmont and Addison. Get off the Red Line at Belmont, head for Clark, make a left and keep going till you see the sign. Best brownie sundae in the city too! Get out there and eat one up... to hell with the calories!

As for gyms (and people watching) Andersonville is good... Cheetah gym on Clark has always sported some good eye candy in the past! A couple of good restaurants in that area too. A friend of mine named Robin Whitespear has his art studio out there on Summerdale. Stop in and tell him Adam says hi!

Have a blast, scottywolden! You're gonna love it.

I've been to Boystown, Chicago once. An ex-boyfriend took me there and it was beautiful! The people are so nice and have way low ego compared to the guys in West Hollywood.

There was some kind of festival going on once where I I had my first look inside an erotic store and had my first sight on a silicone fist -- my reaction: icon_eek.gif

Other than that, I love the sunny days out there. I remember reuniting with my favorite donut shop -- Dunkin Donuts, LOL!! I wouldn't mind visiting the Windy City again! icon_smile.gif

I see nothing scary about any of the Chicago recommendations listed here.
