When i was a kid, my bedroom was next the bathroom. the sound of water running through pipes has really become a noise that puts me to sleep

TomiR1,

Your answer brings out the green monster.

Jealousy.

I usually like to have a fan running when I am sleeping.

Poor substitute for a guy breathing, but I can always pretend.

Crickets on a warm summer night. Especially if I'm sleeping outside and there are millions of stars out!

Ahhhh I would have to say the best lullaby for me is gentle rain falling on a roof where I can hear it while warm and cozy in my bed.... of course having the man I love sleeping on my chest or in my arms works really also.

I grew up by the railroad tracks....on the wrong side of them, of course.

To this day, the sound of a train rumbling by in the night is incredibly soothing.

Our house faces one of the major highways passing through this island so I grew up with big trucks, cars, whatnot going by, full speed, in the middle of the night. The whooshing sound has gotten to be my lullaby of sorts.

It discourages crickets. LOL So crickets or too much silence or too much traffic noise (especially honking) don't put me to sleep.
