Am I the only one here who had trouble following the first movie at times because there was TOO MUCH going on at once? Seriously, at times I thought I was going to have a seizure. Almost as much as when I saw Speedracer.

You have to have a seizure disorder to go see Speedracer in the first place. If I were you, I'd be seeing my physician for a check-up.

I walked out of the first movie. I was even at a drive in, and I drove away.

Sorry, but Michael Bay's style is a "lose" in my book. He tries to create excitement by having camera men run with the cameras and I can't even interpret with my eyes what I'm seeing. The Island had a lot of sequences like this, too. Even the remake of Friday the 13th (a movie he wasn't even directing) had this visual confusion. It's unfortunate that such high potential movies are ruined by this poor cinematography.

As I said of the first film. A greater cinematic turd could not have been belched forth from the bowels of Lucifer himself. So unless Bay has gone to directors school since then, this will no doubt be yet another effects driven piece of shit with little plot and even less continuity.

    Meh!

I'm still waiting for a Gundam film. At least those make the effort of staying true to real physics as well as having a much more interesting plot than your run-of-the-mill "Giant Robots vs. Monster Invasion" kind of thing like Transformers.

First: I second or third (whichever number I am) LilTanker on that if you think that piece of CGI buffonery is better than sex, you ain't doing sex right.

The first film was one of the exceedingly few films where I've considered leaving the theatre due to the film's utter craptasticness. In retrospect, I regret that I didn't. Even Steven Seagal's films come out better in a comparison with the first Bay Transformers film.

You want to see a good Transformers film, check out the one with Orson Welles as Unicron.

They've already made a live-action Gundam film: G-Saviour, Even it has better-developed characters than this series of Bay'sian atrocities.

Reading Bay's explanation to how the fight in a major metropolis in the first film, one can only note how astounding it is in its idiocy.

    Michael Baysaid
Everybody has gone ahead. It's realistic. Two weeks after the tsunami nobody talked about it anymore. It's very weird. We decided to do the same with the Transformers. The government talks about a military thing, says all is false, that it's a joke, and people don't know what they really saw.

How goddamn mentally diseased do you have to be to think that's a reasonable comparison? We're talking about a, albeit fictional, city in the USA. The same USA where a weather balloon back in 1960s spawned alien visitation malarkey we're still dealing with today.

Also, the Indian Ocean tsunami received more than two weeks press coverage.

Yay, another movie with people screaming at each other and nothing getting done.

Yay, more fights between robots that end up looking like a big ball of metal.
