Vincent DeSalvo, who has done work for Randy Blue, got suspended from his Christian college, Grove City College, for paying his tuition by doing gay porn. What's everyone think about this? I think it's pretty lame. He was using a pseudonym and not doing it on campus or anything. I can also understand that the school doesn't want their reputation tarnished but I wonder if they would do this for a female pornstar.

He knew the possible ramifications when he did it. It sucks, but actions have consequences, whether fair or not.

Here's the real shitty part though. The article says he was found out after a student on campus saw him in one of his videos. This means the student went onto RandyBlue to get off, and when he saw Vincent on it, turned him in.

Talk about self-loathing. Whoever that student that turned him in must be seriously fucked up.

This is the consequence of going to a Christian college. Maybe not fair, maybe not right, but who ever said Christianity was fair & moral? He took his chances and he lost. I'm not losing any sleep over him. icon_razz.gif

Doesn't matter if it's legal or not, most Christian organizations don't condone homosexuality (at least promoting it) so it's not surprising that he got the boot. He should continue to be who he is and relocate to a college that is accepting of his profession. It can NOT be surprising to this man that the school would take this action!

In my Christian highschool a girl was 'asked to leave' because a teacher (or more specifically my science teacher) found her working as a gentleman's club...

they threatened to expel her using a never enforced rule that students aren't supposed to have part time jobs during school term, if she didn't leave...

My question is why the hell is he going to such a school in the first place, a school that proudly describes itself as one of the most conservative Christian schools in America? Hello? How did you think they'd react if they found out about your career in porn, or even merely finding out you're bisexual?

I think his reaction is a little disingenuous. I'm baffled trying to understand why he would want to be enrolled there in the first place.

Beyond that, its worth pointing out that Christianity is against all sorts of sexual immorality - such as pornography.

This situation is only about homosexuality on the periphery. When you choose to go to a school, you agree to follow a certain code of conduct. When you go to a Christian school, that code of conduct is going to be Christian.

Why is he going to an ultra conservative Christian school anyway? I mean, what did you THINK was going to happen? It's like being a woman and flashing your ankle on the street corner in Riyadh...

If he had to do porn to pay his way, he should have gone to a state school or hit up his parents for money I guess.

Oo, ooh. Can I be the one to test this concept? Christianity doesn't support porn? Actually, this is the only way I'll ever get into porn and wow, how much fun could that be?

Sorry, but what would anyone expect? Is an insignificantly, small mark on the majority of the world, until the right gets ahold of it.

Yeah, I suppose it was a foregone conclusion when you go to a Christian school and you're in gay porn. I just thought it would be interesting to see what people think.

Sorry for not making the link active.

Did they return his tuition he paid, that he earned through this "immoral" means? Of course not. Hypocrits.

And, yes, he is quite hot.

I'm completely baffled by this one. icon_eek.gif
Anyone who knows of my rants on these forums, know that I hate religion and I'm not fond of religious people. But I have a very hard time drumming up any sympathy for this guy.
As a matter of fact, I agree with the school. (NOW HEAR ME OUT)
He went to a christian school. Why? Why would you want to associate with these blaggards and go to this repulsive institution?!?!? But I digress...........
Being a christian school I would imagine you have to live up to a certain criteria that these religious dolts set forth. They had every right to suspend him. Even kick him out.
In the article it states that he says, he "is surprised by the amount of hate e-mail he's received from fellow students"
Why would he be surprised at this?!? icon_confused.gif These students are christians. This is what christians bloody do, and how they act towards Gays.
    Cheers,

The hard-nosed protestant part of my nature says "if you swim with sharks don't be surprised if you get eaten." He goes to a conservative Christian college and gets the boot for doing porn. I hope he was not surprised. If he was then he has to get a reality check.

i know i know... you gave the i hate religious people disclaimer. so i really shouldn't be upset. and i'm not upset... i'm just saying i'm a christian, yeah, i understand your point, LOTS of christians "bloody do" stuff like send hate mail to their friends. but there's a good lot that don't.

anyway, i went to a christian highschool. i'm sure i would have gotten kicked out if i was doing porn. i'm surprised i wasn't kicked out for being gay. but there is something to be said for the Christian church in that a lot of it is changing, developing it's views to be more cohesive with what the Bible actually teaches, and that includes tolerance. Unfortunately these changes aren't happening so wildly in mainstream media driven churches. but in my little highschool it was and i'm seeing it more and more.

his choice to do porn i guarantee goes against the school's policies. religious or not, it's a private school that has the ability to set it's own standards and he broke them.

i think he should just come to fort lewis college. I saw this guy i know from campus on Randy Blue. the only thing he has to worry about now is everyone that wants to sleep with him even more now that they've seen him jacking off on the internet ;)
