Have the forums all become "All Things Gay"?

You start a thread in the category "All Things Gay" and you get responses.

You start a thread elsewhere (except for Israeli/Arab debates) and for the most part you might as well be talking to yourself.

Have we become "All Things Gay" only?

No, I check all the forums for recent posts, and put the gay news items that I upload into the Gay News & Events forum.

Yes, it has. I've posted a few things in other areas of the forums, and are usually tepid at best.

Yes, I pretty much just do "All things gay," unless it is news. Then I just put it on "Gay News and Events".

The sex health one are pretty on key, the relationship ones could be better as most people just post in "All Things Gay". The activities, sports, workout, health in general ones are still on target, they just don't see much action because there is this under lying rule on RJ that in order to be a member you must be a "jock" and then know a lot about fitness and health when in fact, most of us came here to ask those silly questions like:

Where do you get your fiber from?
    What's your favorite sugar supplement?
How do I target my different glute muscles?

and various other topics on swimming, running, and sports gatherings like tris and marathons. Those posts, however, just get washed off the front page quickly as vapid gays are more obsessed with seeing who posted below them.

I've noticed it too. I noticed that if I do an American Idol thread in All things gay, it get uber viewed, but if I put it where it belongs-General Discussion, hardly ever gets viewed. I've said it before-so much for reading and searching...icon_cry.gif

Perhaps American Idol threads can fit under "all things gay" if discussing Adam Lambert or Clay Aiken? icon_smile.gif

Sports threads don't get so many immediate replies - but they do get read and replied to over time. Sometimes they last for months - like the 'why do you do yoga?' thread.

Some forums are a bit dead though, like 'Recipes', 'waterpolo', and 'sailing.' Don't know why, water polo is the gayest sport ever.

Yes, that's because there are over 50 forums. Who's gon' search through 50 forums? All the subheadings could be gathered into one main topic so the only forums should be Fitness, Nutrition, Dating & Relationships, General, Health and Sports.

When we first came here topics started in the 'wrong' forum were often moved to the right one. This encouraged everyone to scan through all the forums that they were interested in.

A moderator would be handy in this sense, as that would be part of their job. On other websites there's usually a note left behind under the particular topic title telling anyone that looks where that topic has moved to.

I've got mixed feelings on this. I used to post on a highly moderated board, it's a bit, you know, authoritarian.

I think I like the fact this board is pretty much self-regulating. That said, I just read the 'bubble butt' thread and maybe changed my mind a little. ;)

Pinny saidWhere do you get your fiber from?

Depends on your eating plan, try to incorporate lots of fresh fruits and vegetables as well as lentils, legumes and other ruffage.. otherwise, supplements are also good if it comes down to it, you can get sugar free types to

Pinny saidWhat's your favorite sugar supplement?

I like cane sugar.. it tends to taste the best, but, also raspberry fanta is a good one

Pinny saidHow do I target my different glute muscles?

well.. if you put it up in the air.. I'll be sure to target it from many many different angles
