Ejaculating after working out - good or bad?

    I've heard that your testosterone levels drop after ejaculating. You need testosterone to build muscle. So does this mean that cumming after a workout (whether alone or with someone else) is counter-productive to building muscle? Is it better to wait a couple hours afterwards to let your body begin to repair itself while on a testosterone-high??

    I've had many coaches that have said the same or have told us that we shouldn't have sex the night before a tournament
    (I never listened..lol)
    I have not seen any evidence that this is true

    The only reason sex before a competition or game has any effect is if you've been at it all night. So a quick J/O after a workout is probably preferable.

    Still, if memory serves I think I committed both before comps or game and I don't remember be better or worse for it.

    I wonder if there's something about preserving our manly seed that gives us a manly extra edge? My friend, a new agey guy, told me that are some people (Yogis, I believe) who do a practice we gay guys call edging, but they've perfected it to where there's no release of semen at all. Yes, the guys haven't cum for years. I'm not sure how this is beneficial, but it certainly raises their ejaculate to a high level of importance, whatever their belief system might be.

    Because of this thread, I'm going to google to find out more.

    Bit of an old wives tale, this one. It has been shown that regular ejaculation is important to counter sexual health problems such as prostate enlargement.

    Masturbating prior to exercise just gives that feeling of being tired. Nothing wrong with having sex or using the "Palm brothers" after working out.

    Im pretty sure your overall testosterone levels have a lot more to do with your muscle growth than what it's at at a specific time. It really shouldn't have any negative effect.

    Want a real challenge? Mix it in with your workout :o)


    PS: A kid I work with has an orgasm whenever he does heavy leg lifts. I dont know what this has to do with anything but this thread reminded me of it.

    I hope everyone knows this but.....
    Ejaculating after a workout is better than before a workout. I can tell you by plenty of experience.LOL for godsakes I'm 43 and single, but my prostate is very healthy for sure:-)

    This has almost happened to me a few times. I think it's related to the pump. Like arnold said, "It's like cumming"

    anytime i get a good pump going with legs (and sometimes abs) i feel like i could bust if I kept going

    Cumming after a workout? There's no problem with that. Plus, the best loads always come after a really good lift.
