    You probably not allowed... Blood Banks won't take blood from gay men as I recall.

    Sell your plasma?

    First, you are going to have to lie about your sexual history.

    Second, there is no money in plasma. It pays very little and the demand is so great you might as well just donate it.

    Come on dude, just get a job. It looks better on a resume to boot.

    The plasma donation center by me pays $25-$60 bucks a week ( depending on if you donate once or twice a week).. that's gas and food money for the week!

    I was recently reading an article about the increase in the number of people selling plasma, long hair, women can get $5000 per harvest for selling off their eggs (makes me jealous!)

    Having spent a brief period of time working in one of these facilities - if you're going to do it, make sure you pay attention. The phlebotomists that most centers hire are typically the bottom of the barrel, so to speak, or fresh out of schooling (if they've even been professionally trained). They also pay these people sub-par wages (I know).

    The thing with plasma donation is that they are taking blood out, spinning it, siphoning off the plasma, and then putting the red blood cells back in. This is where paying attention really matters. If the vein is perforated (and it's a big fucking needle that is used), when the RBC's are being pushed back in, they'll start to just bubble up under skin, leaving a terrible bruise.

    Plus, as previously stated, you're a fag. We're not allowed to donate, silly.

    Sperm is where all the money is at. So do a good thing and just donate your plasma, and then have a gay ole time wanking at the sperm bank and getting mulah for that.

    Dur, Halooo - we can't donate blood, let alone sell it.

    And i quote ::

    "are a male who has had sexual contact with another male, even once, since 1977"

    http://www.redcross.org/en/eligibility#hiv

    second line under "hiv"

    A bunch of (Straight) friends of mine were FURIOUS when they learned this. they went bat-shit-crazy and sent letters everywhere, the only response from the Red Cross is that "we don't make the rules, we just follow them" - go figure.

    I refuse to give/sell/etc blood.

    total Bull.

    i used to donate plasma all the time. just don't let them know you're gay, and don't drink for about a week before the day you go donate cause it messes up something important with your blood... i remember that they told me that they wanted to eventually lift the ban on gays donating plasma and blood, but had to work around the politics running the plasma/blood donation services. damn legal bullshit.
