Well, I'm finally coming to an end of my enlistment. I've been in for 6yrs. for the past 4 yrs I'm happy to say that i've been open about my lifestyle to my coworkers. And I've been well received. I've drawn a bunch of support from my military counterparts.

I hope to soon hear things will be changing for the don't ask don't tell policy. I'd like to see them get rid of it and have the military stop discriminating against the homosexual lifestyle. I think once the military has an acceptance of it, more of the country will follow suit....maybe..maybe not.

    Kudos to you Max!

I got a brother in the same branch (patch on your chest) as you, while he would be comfortable coming out to his colleagues. He, and I agree, would probably not be able to complete his twenty.

But sweet, that you feel "normal" (at home) with your extended military family.

I had a friend once who wrote on some survey thing that he was, in effect, a 'mo (he, of course, used much more explicit language). It was from the Army, and something about why he wasn't re-enlisting, or something. I really wasn't paying attention. Regardless, they still seemed to want him, and he ended up joining the Nat. Guard or Army Reserves or one of those out in Illinois.

The point - people knew he was gay, and that didn't affect anyone in his unit's performance in Iraq.

Don't Ask, Don't Tell is complete garbage, and it is time to overhaul the rule. Granted, Obama is now backpedaling like a pussy, but what can you expect. He was never really warm to the gay community...but loads better than McCain.

I had a reason for replying, and I totally spaced. Time for morning coffee.

Definitely thanks for the service that you have given to our country. I actually am considering OCS when I finish my Master's next year, so I'm very interested in how Obama is going to change the Military for Gays.

...and as for hot military dudes, where does the line start? icon_wink.gif

tereseusWhy do you really want to get married?

Interesting question, and its one that can't be easily answered...but i'll try.

I'd like to have someone I can have a special connection with, someone who's always got my back. Someone who can be my friend and my lover. Someone who I can treat well and who can treat me just as well. Someone who can bring me up when I'm down and do the same for them. Someone who can be my hero.

Someone who I can give a massage to after he has a long day of work. Someone who can count on me to take care of him when he's sick. Someone who I can inspire to complete his dreams. Someone I can stand in the rain with while kissing signifying that even the forces of nature won't tear us apart...

I could keep going, but I think I've gone too deep already.

That is great to hear. I was pretty open with a lot of my Air Force buddies while I was in and never had anything negative come of it. Hopefully things will change soon.

Thank you very much, handsome! And its sad I wasn't able to make any of the spoleto events. Spoleto always seems to bring in some handsome guys like yourself. They are usually very stuck up tho. Of course, not saying you are! I've usually been too busy workin my ass off to have been able to make any of the events, but I'll be getting out of the military soon.

As for me finding the Mr Right soon....I hope so. I hope this website can even help me do it. I've been looking for that romance all my life. Someone to adore and appreciate, someone to hold dear. Nevermind I better stop, If i start to get all mushy then its hard to get me out of it lol
