I can't quite believe I'm answering this question as you usually bring pain and suffering with you....

Some of us believe that god gave us the ability to ease the suffering of each other, that each of us and even better, all of us collectively have the power to make the world a wonderful place indeed.

Giving up cheating and being honest and open with your spouse is a great place to start reversing the 'suffering in the world'. It begins with you....

I agree with meninlove . It starts with you( a metaphorical you) . I'm pretty agnostic in my beliefs about god. It seems for those of us who have a belief in god you can take one of two steps on suffering. Is it due to freewill or is it fate/predestination? For me, it's freewill. As long as we are endowed with freewill( an assumption on my part) , we will make mistakes and some of those result in suffering. I dont put suffering in god's lap, but instead I put in in my own. I look to see how much suffering I cause in the world.

If that is true, then I totally misread the thread. LOL.

Just like the suffering you are now inflicting upon us with this ridiculous thread! If there was a God surely he or she would have put a stop to your antics by now.icon_rolleyes.gif

    THANK YOU JESSSSUS!

The Mets obviously lost because they must have let a gay man into the stadium. Don't you guys pay attention to the Republican fundamentalists? All evil comes from gays, whether it be hurricane Katrina or the Mets losing. You are so clueless... icon_rolleyes.gif

Yes, there is a lot of suffering in the world.
And it is easy to visualise God on his throne in heaven and doing nothing about it.
But one interesting query would come out of this -
Do you believe that God himself has ever suffered, both physically and emotionally?
    Food for thought.
