ok this has never i mean never ever happened to me before and it sorta made my day..my little 15 seconds of feeling like im hot stuff..but a guy gave me his number today. The crazy part was he was sitting across from me on the L train as i was on my way from finals. He got on at 14th street and he was standing and he kept looking while i read my book. I got off at my stop and walked over to the supermarket to do some grocery shopping not knowing the guy got off too. By the time i reached the frozen food isle i saw the guy behind me and i stopped and stared at him cautiously. He walked over said to me that he saw me on the train and thought i was adorable and he said he couldn't afford to not give me his number then he left saying he had to go but make sure i call him later. Im still shocked that this happened to me as i didn't even dress up today as i was studying the night before for exams and i knew i looked a mess.

was that a lil bit too much.on his part..how should i go about the situation as he was very sexy plus he had a British accent...i am a sucker for British men.My friends say i am too cautious and that once in a while i should just leap (whatever that means)...as i plan on tossing the number.

    STALKER!!!!

    icon_lol.gif

If you're into the guy, then give it a shot. Try a pre-date instead of a regular date. Ask him to meet you for lunch or a coffee. Something casual and quick. Just tell him you're taking a break from studying and have to get back soon.

Just use the time to figure out if he's crazy or not. If he seems legit, then you guys can talk about planning for a real date later.

Or maybe the guy is just looking for a hook up?

Same thing happend to me except
it was a cop on a horse in times square, i saw this fine italian stallion on patrol near the minskoff building and smiled at him. I was on my way to see Alvin Ailey at city center, Just as i was about to enter the theatre someone called out EXCUSE ME SIR,, everyone looked around but i knew it was for me and walked over to him, he looked so damn good sittin on that horse.. He asked me for my number and said he'd remember it..which he did and we've been on a few dates...
So, i'm glad he had the balls to follow me from 45th st.. to 55th street..
    He's an awsome guy.icon_exclaim.gif

    I would call without hesitation.

How many times have we been in similar situations but let it slip away because we were to shy to approach?

    Have fun!icon_biggrin.gif

Call him and set up a date to meet for coffee. That way, you'll be out in public, you can have a conversation to see what he's like, and then decide if you want to take this any further.
Be prepared for anything, but have no expectations. Just be your handsome, friendly self.

    Good for you !

just got back from my pre date and unlike our first encounter i was looking 100 percent adorable. icon_smile.gif we met at this cafe near my college and we ordered something to eat. he started to smile and behave all coy and flirtatious right away. and we talked about where we grew up, and why hes here in the states. then we went on to accomplishments then he started talking about the moment he saw me on the train and that he was happy i called. i mentioned that i also saw him but i didn't really think anything of it...but i did admit that he was cute. i told him i wasn't too sure that i would call him but then he said why not as he made sure i got his number lol. He asked me about my accent and I told him where i was from and he was like all the better as where hes from guys like me are rare...i must agree that i felt like a material object just then but i overcame it as the convo was going good. He mentioned he was into black men only and i said "likewise versa"..meaning i fancy white men as well. while talking i realized that his eyes changed color indoors...they were light green. We chatted some more then we went for a walk. the pre date went well and we are meeting again thursday as i have finals from mon to wed.....im sorta kiddy thinking bout it much.

i think you should call him. but to continue paying attention. caution has its value. but so does risk. take a chance on him: meet him in a public place, and see how he is.
