Keep your head down and your shelter ready. I hope you're OK, and able to ride them out.

Of course, if you have a cam-corder and can get some good footage, you might be able to make a few bucks selling it to the news.

    Good luck and stay safe!

Maybe he LIKES where he lives. There's no place that's ever truly safe. If it's not tornadoes, it'll be hurricanes, wildfires, earthquakes, civil disasters (such as subway bombings, steam explosions, or terrorist attacks. Sound familiar, NYC?), floods, tsunamis, landslides, Africanized killer bees or any number of other problems.

Wow that would freak me out .....

I was stuck in traffic one day
The sky was a sickly green color
and the radio was blasting .... This is perfect weather for a tornado to form

and my friend called me on the cell and asked where I was
I said 95 by the airport
To which he said .... Holy crap - They just reported a tornado forming over there icon_eek.gif

Well back home and the storm is going on out there... no tornadoes on the ground or damage in Wichita or Andover proper.

You get used to the warnings.... but I can say there is nothing like the sight of an F-5 tornado roaring to the SW of you (like I saw in 1991, when it smashed Andover)..... you pay attention... fortunately no hail and my new car, safely in the garage.

So glad I don't live in any disaster-prone areas!

That was me about a month and a half ago. I unwittingly saw a rain-wrapped tornado right in front of me and didn't realize what I saw until the next day when I read the news. I remember when I turned onto one road and saw it in front of me, I only thought, "God, that's ugly. I hope I'm not going that way." There were about 10 tornado/funnel cloud sightings in my vicinity that day. One crossed I-95, causing traffic to back up for a while.

do 20 burpies, then 50 squats, then 20 pushups, then 50 squats, then 20 pushups , then 50 squats, then 20 pushups, then 100 situps. should take about 15 minutes, that's it (maybe less?) and you don't have to be sad about not going to the gym. :>

Like it or not, I've never understood why folks stay in disaster prone areas (that was a rhetorical statement for those of you about to lash out at me). Beyond me.

Having said that, Kansan, I am glad to know you are thus far safe and sound. I have seen an F-5 form over me while on the interstate. Just came out of nowhere. It never touched the ground, thankfully. I have been through 2 earthquakes (east coast), 4 hurricanes and one of the worst ice storms my state had ever seen. I tip my hat to you for being able to keep a sense of humor through it all.

Hey, New York... Excuuuuse the living fuck right outta me!

By the way, I'm being humorous too, DEAR. I'll be in The Big Apple this June. Maybe we can have a laugh-off! First to chuckle has to do sexual favors for the other. You're kinda hot, so I might laugh first!

EDIT: I just looked at your profile. You're DEFINATELY hot.

I'll laugh first. On my knees.
