Tonight, the Eurovision finals will take place in Moscow.

    Norway's contribution: Alexander Rybak's "Fairytale"

    Got any personal favorites?

    ***
Should also note that gay rights groups in Moscow attempted to hold a gay parade / demonstration, in spite of being denied permission to do so by the Moscow city authorities (noted LGBTQ rights champion Peter Thatchell was among them). The assembly was broken up by the police and twenty persons were arrested.

The backing dancers are getting one hell of an aerobic work out. icon_wink.gif

    He's cute. Norway should win.

haha, every year again the most gayest song contest ;)

but hey, it is always fun to watch.

although the norvegian contestant doesn't look norvegian and the song somehow is more eastern european style...

    We won!!! icon_biggrin.gif

(the Norwegian contestant, Alexander Rybak, is of Belarusian descent [he and his parents moved to Norway when he was very young]; the music style is rural Norwegian)

They should give some gay merit awards to:

    1. The Ukranian Silver Gladiators! Hooooot!
    2. The Moldovian folkloric dancers..
    3. Team Netherlands

    4. and finally:

Can somebody please tell Mr. Grece he doesn't sing so he can give up already...

Well, he's a horrible singer, but he is great to look at and he's great with that fiddle/violin. You just have to watch him on mute.

I was definitely rooting for Armenia (since I live here and all) as Inga and Anoush are practically the only Armenian singers I've heard whose music is actually good.

But I can see why Norway won. That boy's cute and the song's great. Plus, those background dancers are awesome!

The actual Armenian entry is terrible live. I like the song itself when I hear it on the radio, but live it's crap. I also really prefer Inga and Anoush singing fully in Armenian, and not in English.

This is my favorite Inga and Anoush song. Much better than their Eurovision entry.

The winning number was good though. Congrats to Norway.

AHH the ever flaming eurovision song contest icon_lol.gif WHY didn't hungary win instead of norway??? love that clip so much my stomach hurts.

BTW, I read somewhere that even rainbow flags (in the audience) were prohibited by the russian broadcasters.
I guess they just don't want this sort of filth in Russia LOL, yet they are crazy about the eurovision song contest which is the gayest event ever.

I mean what is it... probably a lot more than 50 per cent of the contestants AND audience consist of gay men LOL.

    Actually, I like the lyrics.

I'm in love with a fairytale,
    Even though it hurts.

i actually really liked norway's song. and the singer was probably one of the hottest singers in the contest i thought the performance for the russian entry was really creepy but i also liked sweden, i'm not sure why. I liked alot of the songs this year actually.

Russians are the best Europeans by the way. Alexander Rybak is Norwegian, even though is ancestry is from belarus not so different than Russian
