Is anyone going to be in San Francisco for it today? If not, make a point to escape the heat and come watch, definitely worth it.

(Yes, I know this is a "useless" thread--blow me)

I can't stand Bay to Breakers. The same way I can't stand the resorts at Cancun.

I went to school at Wisconsin-Madison. #1 party school in the nation for God knows how long. A bunch of drunk people staggering around in the streets, bumping into you and spilling beers? Yeah, that was every single football Saturday for me for 5 years.

It was a blast when I did it, so ... I'm sure it's still fun for a lot of people. But, for me, the novelty has definitely worn off. icon_rolleyes.gif

i loved bay to breakers when I did it a few years ago.

I only did it once so the novelty hasn't worn off. I would def do it again.

Here's the costume I wore for the race:

hot shirtless lean sweaty boys in skimpy outfits...what's not to like? the occasional gimpses of the bums of the intoxicated ones is an added bonus.

I ran it for the second time and shaved about 20 minutes off my old time despite the heat...I think that cutting back on beer from the tiki bars helped a little too. icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

That's funny unless the race has changed it's really a serious race and the winners walk away with a car and cash. When I ran it two years iin a row I trained for year. I stayed far ahead of the partiers! I loved it. I'm training for the Peachtree Road Race Now. Don't know well I'm going to do because the Atlanta heat and humidity are brutal!
