My partner and I have booked a cruise on Cunard's Queen Victoria. Although really early, it's our treat to ourselves for our anniversary. We've frequently sailed with Cunard, but not on Queen Victoria, and are curious for any input fellow RJ members might have.

    Thanks in advance.

I've sailed on the Queen Mary 2, but not the Queen Victoria. I've heard the accomodations on both ships aren't that different and the public spaces are quite similar. The only big difference is the size of both ships. QM2 is about 150,000 gross tons and the QV is about 90,000. Anyway, when I was on the QM2, I stayed in a Princess Grill accomodation, which was excellent. It's quite pricey, but I went with my friends and family. If you are looking for a cabin that won't set you too far back cash-wise, then an inside or even an oceanview would do perfectly. But if you want to splurge, then a cabin with a verandah is awesome. Anyway, hope this helps and here's a link all about the QV from Cruise Critic. Have a fun time on your cruise!

Thanks for the link to the cruise review. That was very helpful. How did you enjoy the QM2? We've been on it and think it's great, but I question how younger patrons might get on. What cruise were you on, and did you attend any of the Friends of Dorothy meetings?
