I am completely ignorant when it comes to fashion, so I figured I can get help here. I love the polo shirt tucked in with khaki pants tucked in. The problem is I cannot find a decent pair of khakis. I've tried Banana Republic, Gap, Brooks Brothers, and Nordstroms, but I cannot find a good pair. Is there a specific style (i.e. Chinos, etc)? A lot of the pants I try on either are too small on the thighs or they are too big/poofy in the thighs. Recommendations?

There has to be khakis there somewhere .....

They come in slightly different styles but the color is what is always the same

But when it comes to getting pants to fit properly is another question
    Most stores stock what sells
and most of America is populated by beer gutted out of shape guys
Keep looking you might have to have pants tailored if you can't find a pair that fits

    Try "theory" khakis.

From what I can see of your legs and kind of what I am thinking your butt is like they might fit you well.

They can be dressed up for work with leather shoes, or dressed down with sneakers or flip flops.

They cost a bit more but they are great khakis.

    Good luck icon_biggrin.gif

I don't know how much you are wanting to spend, but try www.bonobos.com. They accentuate guys in all the right places...even if you have the flattest ass in the world, like the friend of mine who introduced them to me.

I've always found them at the Polo store. They're well made - and last a long time - and come in a few good colors. They're classics that look great and are very comfortable. Don't buy on-line though - try them on - and if they're not right, have the store alter them.

Yea, Theory pants will cost you at least $250 bucks, so unless you have $$$ to shell out I suggest trying Club Monaco if there is one in your city (cause I've seen them mostly in LA and NYC) because their styles usually fit really well and are about the same price range as Banana Republic (maybe slightly more).

MuchMoreThanMuscle saidA general rule of thumb is:

If you can't find it at most of the major stores, chances are it's not in style for the time being.

Yea I wouldn't be going for them just because of this rule, though sometimes you just gotta have them I guess...
