RunintheCity (http://www.realjock.com/profile/?id=120650) and I met for the first time yesterday evening. Even though we were both exhausted, we had fun. He "felt" like an old friend.

We had dinner at The Cheesecake Factory in Anaheim. We're both picky eaters and ended up "sprucing up" our salads icon_lol.gif. After dinner we hit up STARBUCKS and chatted a little more. Then we parted ways. My only regret is that we forgot to take pictures.

RunintheCity is smart, fun, and handsome (I don't think his pictures do him justice). He's also a good friend.

    Thanks, RealJock.

Always glad to hear about RJ members becoming friends and having fun...

I am curious about one thing..... do you think we would ever hear about
2 RJ members who met and it was a disaster? I would hope not...

Yes, we felt the earthquake. We were at STARBUCKS when it hit. But it wasn't that bad.

    Ok...

    1. I've had a couple of RJ disaster meetings. And I won't be posting about them. As Stan Lee would write, Nuff said.

    2. BlkMuscleGent was very correct in his assessment that it was like 'old friends.' Dishing about men, talking about family, etc etc. It felt as if the conversation had just picked up from some point and continued along as normal. After all, I'm only now posting in this thread as he just mentioned it to me on the phone. (I returned from Anaheim today. I'd rather not return to Anaheim ever.) I had much fun with BMG and would meet him again in a second.

    3. The earthquake!!! He downplays it, but I thought it was cool. I didn't even feel it at first. BMG out of the blue asked, "Do you feel that?" (I wondered if he was rubbing my leg and I just hadn't noticed, lol. NOT. That was a joke you filthy bitches.) Seconds later the Starbucks at Ball and Harbor started to vibrate. I only remember turning to see the cars and trucks in the parking lot...dancing is how I presently describe what I saw. It was both eerie and a physical sensation identical to the 1984 New Madrid quake I experienced back home on the farm.

    4. I still can't believe we forgot to take a photo!

    5. He forgot to mention we both had cheesecake for dessert. (Or perhaps he didn't want to mention it, lol. "Run that extra mile!")

    6. BMG is every bit the hunk he appears in his photos! (Objectification moment: And you could serve martinis on his badunkadunk. :winkicon_smile.gif

    7. The remainder of my conference week visit to Anaheim/SoCal was equally swell, except for my conference stalker. (More on him another time.) I went to the beach twice and am tan all over. I saw a school of dolphins swimming quite close to the shore at Aliso Beach. I got lost in Long Beach and ended up in Torrance!

So yeah, woot woot for RJ meet ups!
