heya everyone...hust wondering why ther are so many guys out there That spend SO much time on thier upper bodies and NO time on thier legs.

It seem so unbalanced and weird? is there a reason.

The only problem I have is that my jeans have to be a cetain brand/cut to get the proper waist size with the way my legs are sized/built.........plus doing legs bloody hurts LOL.

    its always puzzled me.......

A few possible reasons, from chatting with guys at the gym.

    * They hate doing leg exercises for whatever reason.

    * Their legs don't grow no matter what they do, so they give up.

    * They'd rather have a nice upper body because that's what initially catches the eyes of other dudes. Or chicks.

also, people who swim competitively tend to have larger upper bodies.

Haha there is this middle aged or more guy at my gym and he has a massive chest and biceps but that is about it. His legs are like little sky poles holding up beefy upper body. He spends about a half hour plus flexing in the mirror.

I think it's cause they like to talk about how much they can bench or curl etc but are too lazy to pay any attention to the legs cause the girls don't really go gaga over them. Nice legs are a huge turn on for me...icon_rolleyes.gif

I prefer legs, being a leg guy.
it is completely beyond me why guys don't work their legs more. It looks bad having chicken legs and big arms. Working legs isn't hard.
My legs are so big I have to not work them out, I've always been blessed. Lucky me.

Yeah, I have to admit, while my upper body isn't perfect, I'm damn proud of my legs. Of course, 14 years of swimming and diving, then triathlons and now commuting almost exclusively via bicycle will do that for you ;) I hate chicken legs. Nothing looks more awkward on a guy.

I seldom work out my legs at the gym but I have 19" calfs and 24" thighs (that I'd like lean up a little bit)

Thought I'd have to say Real Jock passivly promotes skinny gym legs: Ever notice that there are spots to put measurments for chest, waist, arms, but not legs? - just noting that it's a universal problem.icon_twisted.gif

guys with big upper bodies and skinny legs are definitely unattractive to me. it implies that a) the guy only works out to attract men, or women or whatever, so they are most likely superficial and b) they don't really participate in actual sports, they just lift weights.

i love a nice set of arms and a strong back and solid chest as much as the next homo, but thick meaty legs are the best...especially the legs on soccer, rugby and football players.

its ridiculous the amount of guys in my gym that dont do legs and they find every excuse in the book why not to.

They tend to concentrate on having the widest back..why I have no clue...everyone seems to love doing one gazillion back excercises and no legs.

What Im wondering is it the reason why the majority of guys in my gym dont wear shorts even in the summer...I cant comprehend how people work out in addidas pants while its 90 outside.

While I appreciate a nice upper body, a bad lower one is a deal breaker for me. In fact, he could be rail thin up top as long as he was rockin' a hot set of legs and ass..icon_razz.gif

I'm really lucky when it comes to legs....I barely have to work them out at all. My upper body, on the other hand is another story.
My gym buddy is the complete opposite. We've been working out with each other daily for the past two years and his upper body is MASSIVE while his legs are sticks. I'm always amazed by how this works. To look at the two of us you'd think we had completely opposite gym routines.

Leg day is my favorite. Even better when I puke.

FYI: Those sweatpants and baggy shorts only hide em when you are standing still. Better learn how to levitate.

Post your leg workout, Craigjd. You got some nice wheels bud.

Yeah, I've tried to give advice to guys that ask me about getting their legs big. But they don't want to do the work. Instead of hitting the squat rack, they just do a couple extra sets on the leg extension machine. icon_neutral.gif

I hate working my legs but I do it every week. My thighs have become muscular but from the knee down its pretty embarrassing. My calves arent getting any bigger. So it may look like I dont work my legs but I work the hell out of them. I used to do them twice a week.
