DiverScience is having a birthday today, and working hard on his Ph.D. thesis. Today's a big day for that, but I'm not sure if he's defending or has some other major event with it.

Anyway, he's been a great member of this community, and he's really studly to boot, so he could use our support, so send him a note or reply here to let him know you appreciate his talent, intelligence, and overall good looks.

    Aww, thanks guys.

    RE: Thesis
I'm having a committee meeting. If things go well, I get permission to write my dissertation, so will be defending in 3 months (and graduating shortly after).

    RE: Birthday
    I'm perfect!

No, really. Last year I was a cube. Now I'm perfect. Next year I will be prime.

It's the second, and last time I will be perfect in my life.

Also, this just in, I'm a HUGE nerd (see above math joke).

Happy Birthday! Don't work too hard - and maybe you'll find time for another N.E. kayak meet.

    Happy Birthday DiverScience!

And thank you again for that nice posting of if we had the ability to go back into time and change certain parts of history! That was a nice discussed conversation here in RJ, something different than the "What do you think of the guy above you?"

Oh, come on, you don't plan to live to 496?

Says one currently perfect nerd to another. ;)

Good luck with the committee meeting. I don't have mine until Monday, but I'm years away from finishing.

    Happy Birthday D!

Now as soon as your done relaxing, close the browser, put down the needles and yarn, and get cracking on that dissertation. There are protein strands out there waiting to be analyzed.

    Then we'll row again.

Almsot done with the presentation edits. Debating whether to try to change some panels in one figure...
