    Whoooops, that PENIS was a typo. Damn you, you sticky Photobucket keyboard.

    There are many ways to communicate nowadays:

    * phone call
    * text
    * IM
    * webcam chat w/audio
    * webcam chat while typing
    * webcam w/body language only
    * e-mail (includes messages on myspace, facebook, etc)
    * letter/mail (hand-written or typed)
    * in person
    * morse code

    So...which are your fave ways in doing so?

    Mine:

    1. in person
    2. text
    3. phone call
    4. e-mail
    5. IM
    6. webcam chat while typing

    Webcam w/body language only was really fun in the good ol' days...gotta love those "competitions" in the chatroom. icon_cool.gif

    There's no substitute for face-to-face interaction especially when it comes to trust, as human-computer interaction studies have shown (in particular, this one)

    Of course, email is universal, IM is convenient, and video chatting is fun.

    Juhjuhjeff, I can't believe you put morse code as the last one ... blasphemous! I bet you haven't checked the love poems I've created and morsed to you ...

    I'd say:

    in-person
    phone
    IM
    Email

    don't have most of the others...

    Depends...

    In person for friends and important stuff, but e-mail for the rest: no phone ringing at the worst time, no pressure to decide now - and often, that means there's some time to think, slow things down, put it just right...

    Where I live in the summer - a remote cabin in the woods in BC - the phone is pretty unreliable, so I've trained everyone to e-mail. It's great, and peaceful!

    I like in person or email, I've always hated the phone, I'm getting better but I still hate the damn thing, its intrusive, inconsiderate and demanding

    5. text

    I hate phones. OK perhaps they are better than email for communication, but I donĀ“t like them.

    I agree with most I hate chatting on phone. Don't know how my mom or sisters can get on the phone for hours.

    In-person is the best because you get to experience more than just verbal interaction. Body language can guide the conversation.

    oh, you got me here with the word PENIS, tricky devil!!

    I really don't like talking on the phone. If I have to call someone, usually I'm hesitating with the phone in my hand for a few minutes before I finally just do it. I'd much rather see someone in person.

    muchmorethanmuscle saidI can't stand text messaging someone. It's so slow and cumbersome. It's either in person or a phone call.

    Very much agreed. If a person can take the time to type 100 characters to send a search, they can damn well dial 10 numbers and get me faster. I hate text and usually call rather than text back.

    The love poems were very, hmmm...lovely and thoughtful, thanks man. icon_biggrin.gif Just so you know, I've never been morsed like that before. Now...don't you ever EVER send 'em again. Just trying to decipher 'em all had made me black out 6 times. Just do it the ol' fashion way next time...you know, send an e-mail attached w/some naked pics. Prove me wrong that romance ain't dead just yet.

    I dunno ....
    I hate it when a guy that I've MET and it doesn't matter if it for a hook up or just as friends
    Knows my number
    emails or IM's me with What's Up?
    or starts emailing me if I wanna go out....

    I think once you meet a guy emails are too impersonal

    I just use a ouija

    Failing that a in person or texting, then comes IM but that doesn't really count since I'll never talk about anything important on IM.

    I'll avoid talking on the phone since I like multitasking and people seem to get a bit prissy if you pick up during sex.

    In person.

    By telephone.

    By email.

    By handwritten letter (a pleasure, but slow in delivery)

    But not by IM or web cam.

    Ps. I dislike talking by phone. Especially when over a crackly line I have to SHOUT, as well as call out, "SORRY, BUT I CAN'T HEAR YOU!"

    My cell phone is for my convenience, no one else's.

    I admit I'm really starting to love Singing Telegrams...

    By my calculations, it was Colonel Mustard in the Hall with the Revolver!

    I would have to say

    In person
    Text (especially when you really don't want to be on the phone w/someone)
    Im
    Webcam (sometimes it's hard to talk to friends face to face that are in a different time zone. This way u get to see the all the animation they do when they talk which is usually the best part. My friends say i make the funniest facial expressions when I talk or get excited about a topic lol)

    Wow - nice to see I''m not alone in my aversion to phones. I managed to kill my cell phone last week and haven't replaced it. I might never.

    1. In person

    2. IM

    3 Email

    4) Snail Mail

    5) Text
