In case anyone is interested, there is a yogic abdominal exercise called Nauli Kriyas that is amazing. You wont find it taught in most yoga classes.

It is not a 6 pack builder, so 90% of you will close this right now. It does create a flat stomach and strengthens the connective tissues and helps to keep a V-shape. All bodies, fit, cut, 6 pack or not, will spread out wider due to gravity over time as it pulls us down. This exercise helps keep the underlying tissues strong (diaphram too), the ones that support the ab muscles.

It can take a while to get the hang of it. When mastered, you should be able to suck the abdomen in to a few inches of the spine. It requires strong, held exhales and will increase lung strength and lung capacity too.

There is some fancy terminology in the instructions, just look up the definition (on the same site), like "Uddiyana Bandha" means suck in the naval area..

Link to site below. You can also google nauli kriyas.

If it was not a way to strengthen/tone the abs, I would not have wasted the time sharing the information.

Some will mock it, some will learn it and enjoy its benefits.
