Being a native of California what a lot of you fail to understand is California is by and large a pretty conservative state. With few liberal cities like Los Angeles and San Francisco. There are a lot of conservative Democrats that live in Los Angeles and up and down the coast. Does any one remember the late 70's and 80's during prop 13 era. That was a very conservative measure passed by a wide margin and who lost the disenfranchised. Health Care for the poor, schools in the inner city and inner city county hospitals.

What I’m saying is the Vail of equality is just that a Vail and now that Vail has been lifted on the gay community. For the time in some of your lives you are really feeling the sting of bigotry and it hurts. Trust me you get a thick skin. Now what are you prepared to do about.
Are you willing to the churches in the inner cities speak to a congragationtion, produced TV adds with real people countering the Mormon’s attack on us! We need to be viewed as ordinary people like we are. Without the star power! It did not work the last time!

I was not surprised my the first vote to uphold this, and say no no marriage between two of the same sex. So no shock now. America is still a christian, conservative country, look at what the Puritans did to mother England during their time in power; they even stopped horse racing, and Christmas Celebrations, these were your forefathers.

Being a True Blue Aussie, and not just an Australian. Our country's forefathers were pioneers, and when released convicts, and not religus conservatives. Thus on Homosexual issues, most of Oz is not as backwater as the USA is............
