Apple Powerbook question!

    Hey men.....I just got this powerbook. I can not seem to get my logitech cam to work on it?.....Any suggestions for me...=).....icon_cool.gif

    USB cams are notoriously buggy on Powerbooks.

    how old is the powerbook? most new(er) powerbooks have the cam built-in in the upper edge of the lid. the built-in works with yahoo, iChat, etc.

    i.e. most new(er) 'macbook pros'... i never stopped calling them powerbooks.

    I got a powerbook G4.....I know the macbook pros have them built in. I dont know what kinda cam to guy that will work....

    The Powerbooks require a Firewire connected camera and won't function with a USB output camera without the driver software.

    late suggestion... here's a thread with several options. also seems to indicate that the OS X 10.4.9 update added support for USB cams.

    I tired to buy a new cam on ebay that claims it works with Macs. I'll let ya know the outcome....icon_biggrin.gif

    Dunno....I still cant get it to work in the chatrooms.
