Do you read Men's Health magazine?

I find Men's Health magazine to be a really good source of information on nutrition and work out tips. Though I don't ever recall reading an article geared towards the GLBT community. I still find it very helpful. Does anyone else read it? What other health/fitness magazines do you read?

The little girls next door were selling magazine subscriptions for their school so I subscribed to Men's Health. It does have good information in it. But some of its pages are so busy in their layouts that they are hard to read. And the mag goes to extreme lengths to show that it isnt queer, that it can be offensive. I wont resubscribe. Besides, the little girls have moved away.

We get it, thinking about dropping it. The articles have become repetitious. Seems like every other edition is about how to increase your sexual health or performance, and how to develop a part of the body they did 6 months ago.

I read it occasionally. It is a bit repetitious, but it can have good information. I've never found it offensive.

    had it...dropped it.

it seemed ( to me) like every article/advertisement was geared towards a sexually bi guy who lived in either NYC or chicago and worked in an office cubicle.

I used to have a subscription, but canceled it once I realized I was paying for 150 pages of ads. No thanks. There's some useful info on there, but like others have said, it's repetitive ('Get a 6 Pack Fast!'...'Better Sex!'). And the font is incredibly tiny to make room for more ads. What a waste. Most of their articles are available online anyways, haha.

It's OK. I used to subscribe, but stopped. Now I buy it once in a while. . . to read on the plane, etc. The writing style is overly breezy to the point of hokey.

Hm, I rather like the writing in MH. Much better, in my opinion, than the writers at GQ who are so in love with their writing it reads like they're typing with one hand.

I stopped reading all fitness and bodybuilding mags a long time ago. It's more or less the same info regurgitated every year. Plus, the advertising to content ratio is getting crazy. I know magazines gotta pay the bills somehow, but it's a bit much sometimes. The only thing worthwhile are the pictures of course. icon_lol.gif
