Wow. Gymnastics and parkour seem to go hand in hand. Cool stuff.

Plus, this guy is pretty tasty looking. icon_biggrin.gif

    Damn, I thought so, too.
Esp. when he lost his shirt and pants doing those back flips.
    Hottie.

    1) AMAZING!

    2) It's a true wonder what our bodies can achieve.

    3) He puts Cirque du Soleil to shame.

    4) Flipper says, "EEEEeeeee eeee eee ee eeeee eeeeee eee"
Translation: I can do that and a bag of potato chips.

He's french? Free running/Parkour is very popular there isn't it? Dangerous stuff but amazing to watch. Watch Banlieue 13 to see it in action.

I have a sudden hankering to see Mickey do a series of back flips out of his shirt&pants and land with a cute little "Ta Dah".

(or skip the back flips and just do the other stuff)

Always loved watching Parkour I wonder if they have any classes or groups that train you. I would love to watch or learn.

It's funny that they even created a game using Parkour. Mirrors Edge

Wow, that is some serious gymnastic talent. His control and precision is amazing. This looks like it's probably an audition reel and he's hoping to get a big paycheck from Hollywood. He deserves it. Talent like that in an action film will sell a lot of tickets at the box office.

Every time someone posts or emails a parkour video, I always watch the whole thing from start to finish even if I've seen it before. It's amazing to see the feats that an extremely disciplined human body can perform.

But after the video is over I have to go sit back in the recliner with ice packs on my knees. icon_lol.gif

I always wonder what kind of initial training these guys go through. I figure most of them have probably been doing gymnastics et al since very, very young ages.

It certainly begs the question: Can someone learn to do this later in life? Or is it pretty much a start-when-you're-6 Or Bust kinda' thing?

Any gymnasts out there? Any experience with having/trying to teach older new students (20's, for example)? I would love to do it, but I never had the opportunity earlier in life, and I always figured I'd missed that bus.

*sigh* The opportunities we miss... icon_sad.gif
