Was, by far, the best game ever. I've yet to play a game that was as beautiful made and written.

    Bravo Nintendo, Bravo.

Oh, my goodness. Should I really open my nerdy mouth about video games on Realjock.com

If you haven't, and you love video games, gaymer.org is a great place for you to find other gay people who LOVE video games. I happen to be on that site myself.

Anyways, I played through it about 3 times. (anything more than once is a great game)

What was your favorite temple, man?

Loved it too. Was the first Zelda game I played (on an emulator of course, I hate consoles with passion). The second was The Minish Cap.

I loved the Zoras the most. Swimming was very intuitive, I liked the moments of feeling like a dolphin. LOL

    my favourite video game EVER.

I played that game since it first came out on 1998-1999 and I got so f**** addicted to it. I found all the skulls and almost all the heart pieces on the game...I was just missing one heart piece.... I never figured out where it was icon_sad.gif

Do you guys know any interesting tricks on the game? I discovered a bunch...

-singing the rain song to the "flying plants" would give you a bunch of fairies.
    - singing the zelda's song to the broken signs would repair them.
    - you can climb the chains holding the bridge of the castle right before it gets dark and there are a bunch of rupees on the top edge....

its been a long time I havent played it again, so i cant remember all of it, and googling is cheating icon_razz.gif so no

Definately one of my all time favs.

It's been so long since I played it, but I remember begging my parents to get it as a christmas present.

In the end, I was only lacking a few of the skull spiders (4 I think) and 1 quarter heart piece that was in the graveyard but couldn't be bothered to spend all my hard earned cash to get it.

In retrospect, if I got the last few spiders, I probably wouldn't have had any trouble getting the last heart piece.

Shame that I don't really remember the temples well enough to have a fav.

Oh, I wasted many, many hours on this game. Well, wasted might not be the right word - but it is an awesome game.

im almost sure theres more than 1 heart(1 quarter heart piece) in the graveyard...but Im guessing the heart you missed was the one you have to speak to some creepy dude who shows up at 10pm or so and you pay him 10 rupees to cave in front of the right grave and heart piece comes up...

UH WHO SAID YOU COULD HAVE A THREAD ABOUT TLOZ:OOT WITHOUT ME!? GREATEST GAME EVER MADE! THANK GOD FOR THIS GAME BECAUSE BEING GAY IN A NO NAME TOWN WAS NOT EASY DURING THE 90's! This game gave me a way out of my life/puberty/self-hatred/depression and into a massive world filled with excitement and beauty with an amazing cast of characters! No wonder it stands as the greatest game ever made/reviewed and why so many young gay men can relate to the hero, Link...(he spends a lot of time on his own while discovering who is really is!)

    art14.jpg

The Spirit Temple in the Desert Colssus is my favourite temple! Just the Music alone when you first walk in- OMG AMAZING! Running along the Temple Giant's hands!

    250px-SandGodess.jpg

and your guide of wisdom Kaepora Gaebora....

    zmm-owl.jpg

AH Hyrule...all the good times we had!
    hyrule.gif

I have found everything in this game (except 1 thing) and have beaten it too many times to count! The only thing I haven't gotten was the final bottle- You have to find and kill all 10 GIANT POE's and it took so long just to kill one. They SPIN out of view and contact during the night in Hyrule Field.

I look forward to each and every Zelda title to follow! Who says you can't be a JOCK (athletic) AND NERD (creative) at the same time!? I destroy that theory! MWAH HA HA! You wanna talk Zelda? You know who to find! ME!

Ocarina of time was the first game i played for n64

i played zelda back on SNES though and loved it.

Majora's Mask kinda sucked though, which bummed me out as i was pretty hardcore into zelda at the time.

Windwaker - badass beautiful game, loved it.

Twighlight Princess - pretty cool, would've been much better on a stronger supported graphics system though, solid interesting storyline, but could be prettier

Take that back! YOU SPEAK LIES!! Majora's Mask is the most difficult, dark, gritty Zelda title and the true sequel to Ocarina of Time! It has so much emotion, amazing gameplay and thought crafted into it!

When the Moon painted the sky redish purple and was about to plummet into the land of Termina, the end was near and everyone had fled for their lives out of Clock Town...this song would play... so much emotion man.

All the skull kid wanted was a True Real Friend but the Mask had possessed him. You learn this from the Mask Salesman who would flicker while talking to you because he wasn't bound by Time so even when he would walk he would appear and dissapear!

    Majoras%20mask.gif

How can you say ONI LINK sucked? Turning into a Deku, Goron and Zora with all their abilities flat out ruled because you had to use them to figure out the temples! Plus there were so many masks that gave you crazy abilities to get farther thru the puzzles or fights!

    majora_oni_link.jpg

Racing to fight the Moon from Killing everyone! Just classic!

As much as I liked Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, I thought Final Fantasy VII is the best game of all time. LoZ:OoT come in a close second.

    A Link to the Past

    OR

    Ocarina of Time

If I had to choose between those two... it would be a very tough decision.

    Marry me?

I love Ocarina (hell, I even made a fully playable Ocarina of Time in my senior potter class), but Link to the Past is easily the best Zelda game ever made.

My fav Zelda is OOOOOOLD skool ... Legend of Zelda II: The Adventures of Link. icon_wink.gif

    70256.png

Understandably a little off-putting considering it was only 2-D, but ... comeon ... it spanned 2 CONTINENTS. That game was off the hook. I went back and played it two more times when i was in high school and college.

I gave up on OoT after I wandered through that stupid forest for about 45 minutes looking for the stupid sword. I'm sure it's not that difficult to find, but ... it irritated me so much, I just could never pick it back up again.

I just finished Twilight Princess for Wii, and HOLYFUCKINGSHIT annoying. Lol. I want to take that stupid horse and run him over a cliff. Seriously, I got off the horse and tried to kill him. With bombs. Unfortunately, it didn't work. (Anyone who's played that game should be able to support my claim that two of the most irritating scenes in all of gaming involve that stupid horse, one with the carriage which is on fire and the other is dodging ghosts for the end boss)

So, having said all that, I still cannot believe that no one on here hasn't advocated for my favorite game of all time.

    ff7_019.jpg

AMAZING stories, great music ... tons and tons or sidequests ... I friggin LOOOOOOVE FF7. Although, after I beat both weapons and mastered the master materia, Sephiroth wasn't really that hard. :-/

but i did like majors mask for the record icon_smile.gif

I always thought I was trap.

But it was usually because I had just overlooked some detail.

I'm a numbers guy, so Water Temple was particularly less of a hassle for me.

Indeed! I'll add my own angry mob with pitchforks and blazing torches at this slander! I just realized that the Zelda I was mentioning with the ability to become a Zora wasn't OoT, it was Majora's Mask. And I loved Majora's Mask far more than OoT, the oinky squishy noises you make when moving around as a Deku sealed the deal! icon_evil.gif

The Skull Kid just wanted a real fwend!!!

My favorite temple was the Spirit Temple of course, but I did love the very end when you are in the castle and had to cut off all those connecting color thingys. My least favorite temples were the shadow one. THOSE DAMN THINGS THAT FLY FROM THE CEILINGS SCARED ME !! I couldn't sleep as a child, afraid those things would drop from my ceiling. The water temple was fun, but I hated the water levels, raising and lowering, raising and lowering.

I LOVED all the music from the game, I even have the soundtrack, I remember waiting by the mail box for days and days.

My favorite song was the Ocarina of Time song, that Zelda plays, it's quite peaceful, no?

I wish I was really small again. I miss being a child.

OoT is, without a doubt, the best in the series. Majora's Mask was interesting but not well received stateside. It used the OoT game engine - an obvious rush job. The storyline was great, but the gameplay wasn't inventive.

The franchise has been in the crapper lately, and the fact that Twilight Princess sold so terribly in the U.S., and especially in Japan, doesn't bode well for Nintendo. Rumors abound as to what new Zelda title, if any, they'll be announcing for Wii at E3. I'll be there, front row, ready to pounce. Please, God (Miyamoto-san), put a smile on my face once again.
