Where do you carry it instead? For many years I carried a very slim billfold in my shirt or jacket pocket, being more secure than my hip pocket on the motorcycle. But nowadays I rarely wear a shirt with pockets and seldom any jackets here, so the wallet's back in my pants again.

I never do, but then, I usually wear cargo pants. I figure that if a wallet's in your back pocket, then your back is unbalanced and that's where a lot of lower back pain, posture issues, and everything else comes from. As humans, we sit a lot, and if we sit a lot on different levels, then it's going to become apparent in the rest of our frames.

Just some insight from one guy to a bunch of others.

Nope, never carry a wallet. Money, keys in front pockets, blackberry in back pocket - good to go icon_biggrin.gif

I always do. I feel naked without it and freak out. It is such a weird feeling not to have it.

No, you're not the only one. I don't carry my wallet in my back pocket. (I use a money clip, which fits nicely in either front pocket.) With an ass like mine, nothing bulky fits in my back pocket. Guys with flat asses can get away with the wallet-in-the-back-pocket look. In fact, a wallet might help icon_lol.gif

Out and about, right back pocket.
Clubbing, flea market, open market-secure clip in front pocket.

Same here... I never liked the bulge that it created. I'll just bring it along and leave it in my car, just in case I need something from it. Credit/Debit cards are in my pocket and I'm good to go.

I always have a messenger bag. I need to. I don't know how guys get around with so little. I always have my wallet, sunglasses & case, Photo ID lanyard, asthma inhalers (2), iPhone, keys, building security pass-card, pocket pack of Klenex (its Canada), subway tokens, Burt's Bees, and my pillbox with me every time I leave my apartment.

I think people who drive can just put their wallet in their back pocket since they have everything els they need in their car.

My wallet goes in my briefcase, or on the console of the car. If I go into a store I just carry it - along with dark glasses and keys. If I try on things I lay the wallet on the table or counter. There is very little money in it - since I use a debt card for everything. I never want the bulge of a back pocket. In winter or in colder cities the wallet goes into the breast pocket of a jacket.

My wallet is on my back left pocket. I keep it fairly thin, and I don't really have an ass, so it's not an issue.

No, wallet in front pocket or cash and . Can't stand the look or feel of a wallet in my back pocket.

Only carry what is necessary. one debit, one credit, insurance , license, metrocard, work id. Only add other miscellaneous stuff when needed but take out after use.

My Osteopath was recommending never to carry a wallet in the back pocket - as if you sit down a lot all day - your hips are off line and throws out your back.

Plus its much easier to be pickpocketedicon_evil.gif

I keep mine in the left front pocket, with my cell phone. Truck keys in the front right, with my pocket knife.

My wallet has all my important info in it, so during the day I always have it with me and when I walk it is in the back-pocket. But I never sit on it anymore. In the car it's inside the door and at my desk in a locked drawer.

When I go out, I take some cash and my ID and put them into the front-pockets, so the views to my ass are not obstructed...

When the weather is warm enough, which is 10 months of the year here, I wear cargo shorts and to hell with those 'fashion-experts' who say the cargo-pockets should remain emptyicon_rolleyes.gif

front left. learned that from a back surgeon. after surgery for a ruptured disc, I still had pain and a lot of it was from sitting crooked on a fat wallet. now i keep a slimmer one in the front pocket (slim so it doesn't detract/distract from my other, more important bulge). would rather not carry one at all, frankly ( wallet, that is)
