Hi guys

I was with my mom at a health food store and while she was browsing I noticed there was a mountain bike sitting there next to a bunch of tickets and an empty card board box. Needless to say I entered it, and lo and behold- I WON THE THING!
It's a CCM Rocky Mountain if I remember correctly.
Anyway, I'm looking for CCM's website (it's a Canadian company, I believe) and I can't find anything. There aren't even any online stores selling their products. It seems difficult to believe.

Do any of you know anything about CCM and if they are still in buisness. Better yet, is the Rocky Mountain line decent, or should I just sell it and save the money, potentially for a nice bike.

Thanks for any help

I've never heard of the brand, but I found this (below) and it seems like some more research is necessary once you get the bike and can look up the exact model :

CCM is a big, old company ("Canadian Cycle and Motor") that makes everything from cheap hardware-store bikes to hockey skates, based in the centre of the Universe, Toronto. A few years ago, they purchased Rocky Mountain Bicycles, which is a maker of medium-to-high-end bikes in Vancouver. Rocky continues to exist, produce exclusively high-quality bikes, and operate out of Vancouver. CCM takes the profits, but otherwise, the relationship is zip.

Rocky Mountain is a really great brand of mountain bikes. Their more base models are pretty basic, but their high end stuff is really top notch! You got a great deal. What Rocky Model is it?

I don't know that make, but even the most expensive bikes use components from a limited number of manufacturers. The value of this bike can therefore be inferred by things like the shifters, brakes, crank, saddle, rims, hubs and so forth.

What model names are on these individual components? If they aren't named, then the overall value is likely not very high, a discount store bike, worth not more than about $100 USD.

Beautiful thanks for the help guys. I don't know the name of the model yet but cause I haven't picked it up yet. Hopefully I can grab it later today. Sounds like it might be decent, and if not it's still a free bike.
I'll post the exact model when I get it but doubt anyone is really that interested.

Thanks

CCM is now owned by Oryx.

I suspect the bike is big box store quality which is not always that bad, depending on how much you ride
