I'm someone with pale skin due to my swedish heritage, i do tan - it takes a while but i get there in the summer. But normally I have a clear complexion just a bit pale.

What do you find attractive? Pale or Tanned?

Pale actually is a huge turn-on for me. Overtanned? Doesn't do much for me.

Then again, I have this awful crush on redheads. Sigh. Swoon.

    I'm pale, I don't tan, I always burn.

Which do I find attractive? Both can be nice, just depends on the person I guess.

I like my natural skin tone.

Mostly because it's between dark and light...

I honestly haven't dated enough guys to have a real opinion on what I'm looking for...as far as tanning goes.

    *snicker*

I've always had a natural tan.

Never understood white people who do tan. I think their skin is just beautiful the way it is.

    I like natural.

I'd have to say most Australians about my age have terrible sun damage, and when the poms come out with their beautiful white freckleless skin, I'm pretty jealous.

i just don't understand the fascination with tanning. most times, it looks so unnatural that it becomes a turn-off.

when it comes to white guys, i prefer pale guys than fake tanned guys. just be natural!!

Hmmm...I like natural skin colors. Here in CA 'fake-and-bake' and outdoor tanning are the craze, although not as much in NoCA. That said, I find both pale and olive skin particularly attractive. icon_cool.gif

some guys look better or just as good pasty. I however look better tan, so the fake and bake is my friend. To the guy who started the post, you are hot... and don't need to tan... but being in the sun is a natural anti-depressant!

I prefer a golden skin color, like lots of latinos and asians have naturally. But I wouldnt expect someone to lay out in the sun and risk skin cancer just to get that color.

    NATURAL SKIN TONE

I cannot stress it enough! Tans looked good in the early 90's when Baywatch was a TV phenomenom! Tans look like Skin-Cancer now and show you aren't happy as you! A tan is nothing more than a giant SCAB covering your body. Please guys- take care of your skin. You ARE going to age- there is nothing you can do about it. IF you tan now- you WILL have discolouration spots and sun damage and wrinkles all over. Just watch TV and you will see the Skin-Care products have switched from Tanning products to SPF 70 sun damage protection even helping to fight under-skin damage!!!

Honestly, a tan for a white person is no different than a black person bleaching their skin with a lightener. I have seen the "Skin Lightening Soaps-basically bleach in soap form" from Europe that North American Blacks purchase and after watching a friend explain them to me and why she stopped using them...I realized me in the tanning bed was the exact same type of Self-Hate! Basically- Destroying your body for what you "think" looks better! We all have to except ourselves whether light, medium or dark- no single one is better than the other. Now, I'm not speaking of getting a tan from being in the sun- I'm speaking of specific people BAKING themselves in the tanning beds or on the beach for hours. Stay out of the beds and KEEP YOUR YOUTHFUL NATURAL SKIN! It looks sooooooooo much better than a tan.

I would agree, go with what's natural. Like the OP, I'm of Swedish heritage, with a little Irish mixed in. I just get red. I don't really tan, I rust. icon_smile.gif

That said, I just try not to burn. I don't lay out in the sun, but I just get out there and be active with my SPF 50 on. If I spend too much time in the sun, it's draining on me, but I do like to kayak and do other things in the summer, but I'll find the shade quickly.

Another body acceptance thing for me. Glad to here there are guys who like us porcelain like!

Eventhough I am myself are tan and brown like a nut, I always thought guys with the same skin colour like me, attractive. I dont know, they seem more masculine and macho to me.

I do like white guys with pale skin or Chinese guys with yellowish colour, or a black men with dark skin..but the one who look like me get my attention first . It could also pyscologically something rebellious in me, to prove that brown skin people is indeed atrractive, since in Asia lighter skin guys was always considered more attractive than brown skin people.

However, skin color dont really matter to me , the well shape, attractive men no matter what colour always turn me on. I

i find natural color to be attractive. If you're naturally pale, great! If you're naturally tanned, great!

I think tanning is the DUMBEST thing to do to yourself. Being at the beach and enjoying the summer weather is one thing, but sitting in a glass box attempting to make yourself look better is stupid. Be happy with what you have!

I don't agree with baking for hours in the sun and little light coating goes along way - guys put the factor 50 and a cap on and if you must tan there are some bloody good products out there to give yourself a natural glow and not the tangarine that some british girls are very fond.

    Pale or Tan?

I can't really choose between the two because I find both attractive.
It all depends on the person and what complements the best.

But I think during the summer a natural tan looks really nice on some guys.
LoL...Doesn't matter to me. As long as they're masculine then I'm sold. icon_lol.gif

I'm of Puerto Rican decent and "pastee white" is the term used by my siblings and folks to describe my complexion but I tan easily and well fortunately.

I think a nice tan does add to attraction but not when it is overdone. The bronze leather look is just ugly and unnatural.
