Do you think skipping would be a good cardio workout? I don't mean jumping rope, I mean skipping where you kind of walk/hop along.

it must definitely would be. i think people would chase you to beat you up and if you run away from them - voila a great cardio workout!

I skip as part of my cardio routine at the gym in front of prying eyes. I also do shuffles and jumps. Like if I'm trying for two miles and I'm a couple laps short, I find that a few jumps reboot me. Someone doesn't like it they can tell me to stop but I get laughed at anyway because I enjoy low weight/high reps. Bottomline, you ain't there to be Miss. Popularity. Besides I heard tell that when i'm not around, my critics mimic my routines. Copycats.

It is if you're getting those knees up high; works better if you do lounge-skip combos.

Billy (who wrote the article Bunjamon linked to) made us do skipping at the Real Jock boot camps. He has us do it both forwards and backwards in the sand. I believe it was also part of the relay races we did. There's nothing quite like seeing lots of men skipping together.

I read that skipping puts you in a better mood, it's a childhood recall for the body and brain, yet I still don't skip???icon_neutral.gif
