    Based on this post.....

If you took off all your clothes right now and looked at yourself in a full length mirror would you like what you would see?

All I want is what it would it take for you to be a YES man....

What would it take for you to say...yes...I like what I see???

Abs....are not that hard to get!!

Yes, i really like what i see!!!
I'v been working out real hard these day since everyone has something to say about my body and how hot they think it is... A person could get a big head with all the compliments...Wish there was a way for people to see whats inside my heart instead..

It would take another 7% loss of bodyfat and some plastic surgery.

    Hey mistic_man!!

We said yes in SILVERFOX1's topic. So here's why.

Are we magnificent specimens of the male gender? Nope.
    Are we average? Yep.
Are we happy and content with just being reasonably healthy and way more than fond of each other's looks? Yep.

heheh, we're yes men all right.

Actually, that's a lie. Abs are one of the hardest things because they are obscured my body fat and men naturally store their fat around their abdomens instead of other places. Plus, people with nice abs can thank genetics. There really is only so much you can do to get them.

My abs are there. I can feel them. Some days I can even see a hint of them. But I will be honest. I am not going to give up a lot just to have the abs only to see them go away again. And getting a hard body is not that easy as you say. Genetics has a lot to do with it and it also depends on how much you want it. I want my body to look good to me and it has to be my body image, not someone else's. I am 47 years old and I like who I am. Yea, I have some issues with my body and I am doing something about them (ever notice I don't have an open mouth smile?). If I never have a visual six or eight pack (do guys with 8 packs actually eat food?),that is ok with me. I have to be comfortable with myself and that partly means not have a belly bounce on the tennis courts along with the tennis balls. And no, I am not willing to let someone else cut me to get them either. But I push on to the gym anyway because it does feel good afterwards. I said no in SF's thread, but thinking about what Mistic said made me think deeper. Overall, yes, but not satisfied yet enough to move into "maintain' mode. icon_biggrin.gif

Either lose 25lbs and have a 32" waist, or stay the same size I am and bench press 450lbs. Neither is really realistic. Abs are not so important, with my body I would be happy with a flat stomache.

I am VERY happy with my body and what I have been able to bring it back to do...no problems with the strength/stamina.....get a fair number of compliments and "offers", but still......I'd like to drop 20 more lbs and have some plastic surgery on my "excess skin"....but then again we are always our own harshest critic...icon_cool.gif

5 months into Tae Kwon Do - recently upped my days from 3 to 4 per week (two regular classes/two sparring classes) - I'm feeling much stronger, sore a lot, but also far less stress out. People are noticing the difference in my body, upper part getting a bit bigger, more toned; lower part getting a bit smaller, more toned, and my boyfriend says I "feel different".

All in all, I'm happy with my progress, but I still need to take about 4" off my gut and lose probably 20-25 lbs.

    Then I'd be ecstatic.

My pop have a big pot belly so..... (NO LIE) The right type of exercise and diet and perhaps some fat burners that cut up visceral body fat and guess what,,,,,you got em. That's all I do and I have a pic in my "adult" section of my abs...just a little more work!!

I love what these say about body fat.....

Overall I can say yes right now

But I always have an ongoing battle (sometimes in my mind)
that I need to keep the bodyfat percentage down even more

    Yes.
I've got six-pack abs....actually it was a pony keg that made them! LOL

Am I a hunk of a male specimen? No, but I'm happy with my body. Time was when I wasn't ...and guess what? No one else wanted it either. If you don't love you, how can you ask someone else to?
Work out if it makes you feel better endorphin-wise, but if you workout just to look like some GQ magazine-imagined idea of what a man should look like, then you're hurting instead of helping yourself. Learn to love yourself first. The rest will fall into place.
