if i posted my resume on here? I am a college graduate that lives in the city of New York and i am finding it hard to locate a job opening relating to my experience and background, Legal Assistant/ Paralegal. Anyone know of any firms hiring or of a lawyer that needs help in his office? -----I would like to spread the word that i am available to work as my current internship will be coming to an end soon and after that i think i will go crazy as i like being busy. Anyone can spare some leads??? O i always thought that news traveled fast by word of mouth so i thought this might work.

Whoa . . . you may be brilliant at what you do, but is this site that job-centric?

Networking is great to find jobs, its how i found my last two positions. I also received these referrals because i had a relationship with these individuals and they knew my character. So it may be difficult to network with complete strangers in a forum, but i wish you luck nonetheless.

PS. the financial firm i work for is not hiring, in fact, they recently laid off 120 people. icon_sad.gif

One thing that is becoming very popular is a video resume'. I have not done it yet, but am considering it.

I wouldn't post my resume on a public website and I'd pick and choose who I sent it to. You need to be careful and protect your identity.
