SWIMMING SUITS: You are invited to a friends swimming party....

Kind of a take off on the "satisfaction with looking at yourself naked in a mirror" thread, but a little more.....

Its summer and a friend invites you to a swimming party. Gay or straight (does it really matter?) And he tells you to grap your swimming suit.

    How do you react?

    1) You grab it (and what is it? Boxer, midcut, speedo) 2) You grab something like a longboard 3) You go, but never go swimming
or 4) You are uncomfortable so you beg off....

    Why?

Me, I'll grab my new black midcut swimming suit... and head off to the pool.
Decent tan, but I'll have my tanning lotion and have fun.....

I go, but don't swim, and stay far enough away from the pool so nobody decides to push me in.

Naked with my gay friends, who all have pools with adequate privacy. If women will be present, I'll wear board shorts, which tolerate my middle-age spread the best. I do cut out the liner if the suit is made with one, though, still prefer the loose feeling of swimming nude.

I would definitely go grab my suit, and I'd get my normal mid-thigh-length trunks, probably with a speedo underneath for the extra support. None of my friends have pools, though, we all go down to the lake!

I am a "layered" man myself.

Shorts, with board shorts under that,

    And a speedo under that.

If I end up swimming (and if I go into the pool, yeah, I will actually be swimming), it will be in my speedo. icon_biggrin.gificon_eek.gificon_biggrin.gificon_eek.gificon_redface.gif

Hey don't FAIL me so quickly!

If I hang AT the pool, like dip my feet in...it is board shorts.

Depends on the crowd. I like wearing speedos.... unless nobody else is. You want to look great... but you don't want to look out of place.

Board shorts for me. I am not comfortable in speeds, the boys need to be free to move around.

Actually I recently WAS invited to a gay friend's pool party, and the dominant swim suit was like a square-cut Speedo or Jantzen, but with the exaggerated shaped pouch (and I suspect an internal C-ring) that are sold in gay clothing shops here. Nice eye-candy, but nothing I think any of them would wear to a public beach, or a mixed pool party.

I throw my speedo on under my board shorts. Wear the board shorts all day while hanging out on the boat or by the pool. When it's time to hop in the hot tub that night, toss off the board shorts and keep the speedo on.

The reason why is that I hate big baggy suits when you're dealing with all the bubbles in a hot tub. Also, speedos dry off w/o dripping all over my self.

    1) I bring a pair of regular swimming trunks (mid- to lower thigh).

Tight underwear and tight swimwear just don't compute within my fashion sense. At the point you're wearing a Speedo, why wear anything at all?

    2) I grab something like a longboard

because i feel comfortable in them and always wear them. But most probably my friends will invite me to go to a lake with them instead of a pool. icon_wink.gif

squares in backpack, boards on body. if there's a troll, the boards stay on. otherwise the boards come off and it's a tossup what is or isn't worn depending on the company and direction of the night.
