Just seeing how most people sleep.

I myself can not have any lights on in my room or any clock lights showing..... As well as I ALWAYS need a fan going. I can't sleep with silence. It drives me crazy!!!

    What about you guys?

I need a cup of decaf tea about an hour before I go to bed to get my mind to start switching off. I read for half an hour. Then lights out. I need a totally dark room. I get bad insomnia, and this routine seems to help.

I've been an insomniac since I was an early teen. Generally the only good gaurantee of a good sleep is a goood fcuk, followed by a dark room. A hairy chest pressed up against me is also a good thing to kick start a sweet dream.

My workouts usually end close to bedtime, so I doze off easily. But for those sleepless nights, I put my TV on sleep 30mins or listen to Enya, total silence just makes it difficult to sleep.

or bore myself with those garbage advertising mail / male ;)

Usually a good book, a good cup of cold juice and a some Melatonin I got at WholeFoods does the trick.

A book to read, soft music that is on timer, and warm glass of milk before bed...

I don't know about the warm milk, but I find books are a very bad idea. I find reading better than a venti americano when it comes to waking me up. If I start reading before bed, I won't stop until the sun comes up or the book ends, whichever comes first.

It takes a great deal of discipline for me to sleep. Unless I have utterly exhausted myself during the day, which rarely happens, I am always tempted to stay up late reading another chapter in a book, playing another level in a video game, or surfing the net randomly for hours.

The only thing that's really sure to work is being very still, forcing my body to relax, and then using some breathing techniques to clear my mind.

Some nights I can't dredge up the willpower to do that, but I'm getting better icon_smile.gif.

Tonight is something of an exception because I woke up really late this morning O_o. I'll be going to bed soon, though.

    Alcohol and prescription meds.
    hahah
no having my partner next to me. He is a flight attendant and usually when he is on his trips I dread going to bed. It's not right for him not to be there.
