icon_twisted.gif Start with your arm and your cat’s back parallel with the floor. Your cat will be resting docilely upon the underside of your arm as in the picture to your left with all four legs dangling. Slowly over 4 seconds raise your cat to your chest. Give your cat two kisses. If your cat does not like kisses you can give air kisses. These kisses should take about 2 seconds. Then slowly over another 4 seconds lower your cat to the starting position. Do reps until failure or until your cat scratches your eyes out.icon_evil.gif This is a great exercise for your biceps and could also be performed with a small dog or other appropriate pet.

I have put a little dry humouricon_smile.gif into this thread because I think that exercising the mind is possibly as important as exercising the body and what could be better for a healthy mind than humour.

In your opinion, what is more important to you, exercising the mind or exercising the body and no matter which is more important to you, how do you exercise your mind.

For myself, I enjoy exercising my mind more than I do my body, although I like both and in most sports it seems that I am doing both. To exercise my mind, I like to read, both non-fiction and fiction. I also like to discuss with friends the issues of the day, especially when we can have a civil discussion and of course, laugh.

Oh yeah, and no animal was harmed in the making of this photo.

LOL...Remember, if you start lifting with them as kittens, they'll be much more manageable as they get bigger.

I love exercising the mind too, reading non-fiction (mostly ancient history), watching science shows and listening to classical music.

I was inspired by the initial post to do some experimentation.

Do NOT use them for barbells - they do NOT like it.

The things you can do with cats these days... I remember when kitten huffing was the big thing!

Warning: do NOT regularly do one-armed dog-ups with cute 10-lb. puppies. They will still expect you to do it when they are 50 lbs., wet, and smelly.
