    ...there wouldn't be much of a point for being gay!!

    (Sorry, couldn't resist icon_lol.gif )

    Unrelated: On the other hand, I've read that a male is able to get "pregnant" with a little bit of science help... is only unlikely to survive the pregnancy as do women with ectopic pregnancies.

    (Edited after I realized the "form" of the thread)

    Abortion wouldn't be a debate and it would be available to men for 2 years after a birth.

    No, if the societal tradition was that women should have babies and men not. If men could have babies, but society dictated they shouldn't, everything would be the same way it is now. Look at the transgender man on Oprah who still had her baby. She still faced hostility even among gays and was still regarded as a conundrum. Look at women, they can do everything a man can do (within reason), but society frowns on it. Perception.

    This is the first thing I thought at the sight of this thread, too-- you'd better believe there'd be no question, no legal battle, no impediments whatsoever-- you want it out? What flavour of cigar would you like while we puree that little parasite and suck it out of you? If men were staring down the barrel of a 9-month gestation culminating in delivery, there'd be a 24-hour clinic on every other street corner and whether everyone availed themselves or not. Because you know we'd never tolerate other people imposing control over a person's body if it could happen to us.

    Shoot. I would get my tubes tied, but go to the abortion clinics and let the protesters think I was getting one.

    I would have kids right now! And not have to scheme and work so hard to try and have what others get so easily. Nothing against adoption, surrogacy, etc either. Still not as simple.

    If a C section was out of the question, much respect to any man who can pass a baby through his pee hole.

    I just tried to have a nice breakfast out with my man before he left for a trip to visit family this weekend and it was an unpleasant experience due to the godamn screaming brats. I can barely tolerate them at a distance! No way would I ever want to adopt one, much less bear one! Arrgh.

    {When does school start again so the mind-dead mothers & fathers will stop inflicting their spermatic results on the rest of us??}

    THIS plus there'd be an instantaneous flooding of funding to develop an effective and simple male contraceptive pill/patch/injection, whatever to be on the market immediately!
