My sister told me that I would be cranky too if I had 8 kids. My response is that the idiot knew the chance of multiples was as high or higher the second time around. She chose this life and if it's stressing her out, she needs to suck it up and deal. Yeah, her hubby is tool, but she's a vicious cunt from hell. They deserve each other.

It's one thing to deny water for the moment because they were about to go on camera, but to have a yourself a drink in front of your children and tell them "no, not now" is "really, really mean."

And for a child to be so ready to make that remark indicates a pattern of this type of poor parenting.

I feel guilty feeling like her hubby is attractive to me .....although the litle bit i know about the show because i dont watch TV really, is beyond disgusting. I really wish this reality shyt would just come to a quick ass hault!

I agree, I think people are "nitpicking" her too much.

If you notice, she did go to reach for the bottle of water, but couldn't reach it, time.

Most people who have worked with or raised children understand that kids make a lot of usless noise and there are times that you have to shut certain unemergency sounds out to actually keep your sanity. The child was not going to die of dehydration in the next 10 minutes and that's not abuse.

I don't believe that this proves that she is a bad parent or a cunt. You guys really need to loosen up on this woman.

i don't agree with profiting from making a show about you raising your 8 kids. The kids shouldn't be put through that. What's worse is that a lot of this shit is scripted. Why are Americans so into such mindless TV?

Oh leave Kate alone, there are 8 kids there all of them under the age of 9 and 6 of them probably under the age of 5. If one of them gets something the rest are going to chime in about wanting something. Has anyone here bagging on the women ever tried to control a large group of children under the age of 8 while going into a high pressure situation such as being on air? Children under a certain age are not going to be sitting there going "oh she got water, that's cool." It's going to be, "I want juice!" "I want coke!" "I need to go potty!!" "Blah blah blah!" I think she was about to go on the air, and she was just trying to keep some semblance of control of the situation.

Yea, it looked bad that she took a drink for herself, and put the bottle down, but as someone else mentioned she was about to give in, but then it was time to go on the air.

Anyway, she comes across as a strict, but fair disciplinarian. Her kids will all get their drinks, potty breaks, and whatever else they need less than 10 minutes into the future. I think in regards to her marriage, they're probably together more out of necessity more than anything else. Would there be as much strain if there lives hadn't undergone such a dramatic change? Who knows.

If you give in to every little demand and whine from a child you'll most likely do nothing more than raise a spoiled little monster.

I have a very low tolerance for children, so this isn't a show I'd watch regularly. My kid-loving best friend made me sit through 2 episodes back-to-back and my impression of her is she's just a bitch all-round, though.

I didn't mind her before, but my roomy started making me watch the show and normally I wouldn't think just from the video that she was a bitch. But, after watching the show that pretty much sums up how I feel.

having watched a fair bit of the show, mady really does whine a lot over nothing. there is also a jump cut in this clip from im really thirsty then jump to mom getting water and then jump back to the full shot im really thirsty, part of me wonders if there was editing involved in this there.

also everyone is right give one water and you end up with 8 unruly kids wait 5 minutes and they all get water and you live a sane life.

and yes they new the chance of multiples was there when they got pregnant the second time, but multiples of that magnitude are not normal

It's true.. But I also think that they would be living in poverty or pretty damn close if they didn't have that show. I know its not cool to expose your kids for the world to see.. But I think whats worse.. 8 kids growing up poor and hungry or being on tv making good money that will help advance them in the future if Kate and John are smart with their money.

I haven't really ever watched the show but I knew she wasn't what she portrayed herself to be when I saw an interview she did .... and she had the redone hair and the fake tan
