I'd like to pick up new or used gear. Does anybody have any recommended locations in the King of Prussia/Philadelphia, PA area?? I guess I would most like to know where you can find some great deals on used stuff, or surplus type stuff. I am looking for any of the following:

    American Football gear
    Baseball Gear
    Jockstraps/cups
    compression shorts/shirts
    Cop uniforms
    Military Uniforms (army/marine/navy)
Or any other sports gear: Wrestling, etc...

    pretty much any uniform!

Let me know if you have any ideas/addresses/store names.

    thank you

Go online! Everyone's offering free shipping these days anyway because the economy is poo. Try www.internationaljock.com for wrestling gear, compression shorts, and anything underwear/swim related. As for the rest, go Google!

Since 9/11, cop uniforms are practically impossible to find. It's almost as bad with military uniforms. You can find a few military uniforms (or pieces) at some used clothing stores, like Worn Out West, in San Francisco. The other stuff, you should be able to find very easily by Googling.

Sorry I don't know your specific area for this question. The classic Army & Navy stores used to carry a lot of this stuff, not just military uniforms & items, but law enforcement as well. Other used clothing may be found in general thrift stores, and I sometimes see military uniforms in them, too.

In my own area, there are several thrift stores that raise money for HIV/AIDS, among them Poverello and Out of the Closet. The latter has national locations. I often see contemporary military uniforms there, because sadly, partners & family of AIDS victims will donate their clothing when they die, and they often weren't that old, and had served our country not that long ago. Or else, guys simply donate their uniforms for a good cause.

BTW, I buy almost all my cargo shorts at Poverello, for about $5 each. It's not like I need the savings, but it raises money for their AIDS food bank, to which I separately donate, so we both benefit. I saw a Navy Commander's blue officer jacket there just last week. I also saw an airline pilot's jacket, just amazing what you'll find.

Get a boyfriend that owns any one of these uniforms and after a week steal them from under his nose. icon_razz.gif

My dad, with absolutely no sense of irony, volunteered to give me all his fitted 1950s Army uniforms because he thought I'd look great in them. And why not? My last name's already on 'em.
