What's your top priority?

I am wondering if people at different stages of life or even in different locations have similiar or different priorities than my own.

Is it the health/fitness/body that is your main priority? The career? Family? Cars? what?

For me it's all about my career. Although I have been making some progress with my fitness goals they still consistently come in second place to my career goals. Make sense? I hope to one day be able to put fitness first, but I am trying to accelerate my career first. (PS Shameless plug -- I'm on the job hunt and anyone who has any finance/accounting hook ups send me a shout! I am checking out all types of opportunites right now.)

For me, career (as momentarily defined through school) is my number one priority. That said, exercise and fitness are as much a part of my day as eating, but that's a very close second if relegated to priorities. At the same time, if I weren't happy with my physique, I might shift those priorities as my body (and mind) are much more lasting then my career, and surely just as key to my longevity and success. icon_wink.gif

Joing LinkedIn.com if you're looking for a job. It's a networking site. Less social, but more professional/industry related. If you have a degree and some experience, I don't think you'll have any problems finding a job through there.

I don't have a top priority. I have a lot of priorities in life. But none are necessarily more important than the others. I tend to juggle them around all at the same time

But if I had to choose. I think career would be it. Having a stable job/career means I have financial security and health benefits. I'm not out to be a billionaire, I just want enough money to cover bills and have some extra spending money to enjoy life.

Definitely career. We all spend so much time with it, so for me at least it is the top.

Mine is losing weight. Which is ironic given how many times I have lost and gained the same 60 pounds.

Finishing school (getting certi'd as a PT), being debt-free by the time I'm 30 & making more investments than I thought for myself. I figured since I'm doing it by myself, I will enjoy it by myself. Also keeping myself in shape (that's a major chore itself but it pays for itself.)

It's not career for me at this point. While I am extraordinarily active career wise, it's more enjoying the fruits of those long hard grueling days of the past.

I can't say that the following are mutually exclusive items, but instead are

all happening in a rather simultaneous fashion:

    a) finishing graduate school, b) seeking a fulfilling career, c) hoping for

meaningful relationships (i.e., friendships, gym partners, extended family,

relationship/boyfriend(s)), d) eating as healthy as I can, e) being myself

    in all that I do.
