Hey everyone, I just wanted to give a shout out to all of those guys from DC.

After spending the last 4 years in California I'm moving for a year to DC to be a part of a volunteering corps program and will be working at shelter downtown. I'm a bit nervous/excited about moving to DC come this August, one of the anxieties being how I will find quality guys outside the bar scene. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with sports teams, groups, or other venues besides clubs (ie Dupont circle) that might help me get connected with the gay community in DC, as I won't be having much of a connection through my work. Thanks so much!

I'll join the chorus ... although I'm moving to DC in August, and depending on your exact move time you might beat me there! But we can still play hopscotch and throw jacks.

Hey bud. I just moved away from DC and there are so many outlets and ways for you to meet people there. There is such a large gay population it wont be too hard. If you like basketball (like me), there is a gay basketball league, and they have gay teams for virtually every sport you can imagine. If you went to college there is also an amazing alumni association there for virtually every school. I played basketball, softball and football for the University of Arizona alumni teams. Not really a "gay" league, unless you count the dykes in softball. Good luck though...Ive been gone two weeks and I already miss it...

Well that didn't take long. Sounds like you already got an offer for sex.

Oh good grief, he says that but he hasn't sat on the Beltway in a two hour back up.

Moving to DC, not moving to the suburbs. He doesn't have to ever deal with the beltway if he doesn't wanna. I know I avoid it like bubonic plague.
