hey guys, i'm an ectomorph. Assuming i've reached my bulking goal i was wondering if someone could tell me how long does it take to cut and sculpt my body from then on..do you maintain the body in that state for long periods or can the body only be in that state for a certain amount of time

    any insights welcome

Bulking and cutting is a waste of time, for those that don't compete. Often times you lose too much during the "cutting" phase, and you're right back where you started from.

You should grow in to your ideal physique, not shrink down to it. Being an ectomorph doesn't mean it's impossible to achieve your goals. It just means you have to find the right exercises and techniques to stimulate muscle growth.

Pyramid sets, drop sets, 10x10, super-sets.. just a few different techniques to help kick start your muscles.

And as always, you have to eat right. And eat enough. If you're burning more calories than you're consuming, then you're not going to see much progress.

You don't need to be cut to the same extent as competition bodybuilders to be an AMW (actor model whatever).

Nicely toned would be fine ( most models are anorexic, not to be confused with ripped )

Anyhow, the lower your body fat, they less time you should spend there.
Less than 3% for an extended time is asking for health problems.
10% - 15% can be maintained your whole life.

If you want to cut fast, look into Chlembuterol and T3 (Cytomel). That will cut you up fast and good reguardless of body shape

    Get your bodyfat measured

Subtract your desired bf percentage (probably 7-8%) from current

Divide your current weight by that number

Divide that number by the number of lbs you can loose in a week (1.5-2.5)

and that will number is how many weeks it's going to take you to cut up.

Now why anyone with a 30' waist is cutting is beyond me....but hey it's your body
