    It's funny, as the debate goes on and Eichelberger is losing the debate, he falls back on the truth of Same-Sex Marriage opposition .. it's about disapproving gay people!!! It's about ensuring that the government and society let gay people know they are unfit, unacceptable, and unwanted.

    Yeah I know. This is the real argument behind denying gays marriage. It's not about marriage or the term, it's about disapproval of homosexuality itself.

    Activeandfit-- thanks for the link to the original-- amazingly, it makes him look even more like an idiot than these excerpts, because not only does he say these things, but he has nothing to say except these things. He cites a wealth of scientific studies and can't name any-- "but I'll get you some."

    I admire the ability of the moderator and Daylin Leach to stay calm.

    If we can't be given the same rights as heterosexuals why do the other things heterosexuals do. Lets just stop paying local taxes. See what happens then. If it's going to fall on the local level, lets pull the one thing we most certainly do have is buying power and spending power.

    I listened to the whole thing I have to say Eichelberger's arguements were surely very poor. I've read more about marriage than he has, and it certainly has changed over time.

    Fun Fact of the Day: Gays were allowed "marriage" about 800 years ago: Christian marriages, no less. Before that, well every knows gays got married before that in Rome too.

    Yes, gay sex did have that punishment, but it seems that there wasn't a lot of legal cases that went through if any at all, as a few Roman emperors married men themselves (after those years)
