Shouldn't be from too much training, but I've been doing more speed work in hope for a PR at SF Marathon at the end of July. This past Saturday, after a run, I noticed that I have a sensitive spot on my right foot (cannot pinpoint but outside the foot where the arch starts) and it's more painful 3 day later.

I don't want to taper off just yet. What other training can I continue doing without making the foot worse? Swimming and biking come to my mind but anything else?

You need to consult with a sports Doctor. You may need specific physical therapy, not just alternate programs that don't hurt you. Do you know such a specialist? Ask your General Practitioner for a referral.

You might consider aqua-jogging: you wear a flotation belt and run in deep water. I haven't done it, but from talking to a aqua-jogging triathlete at my pool (who's also a trainer at the Cooper Clinic in Dallas) you need to know the right technique for the workout to be worthwhile.

You might check with a physical therapist and see what they recommend.
