The news reports that Neda means "divine calling" in Farsi. But I am wondering if Farsi speakers hear that name and think/hear "divine calling."

Like my name, David, means "beloved," but nobody thinks "beloved" when
they hear it. You can't substitute "david" for "beloved" in a sentence. Is it the same for "Neda"?
