    Cardiac Arrest at 50

Not exactly something you see everyday in the general population
He didn't have a cardiac history that's been reported
Jackson was weeks away from starting a new world tour that he had a lot riding on
so I think there is more to this story than they are saying
and more than they will ever say

I'm shocked and saddened beyond belief. I keep thinking this is just not true. Rest In Peace King Michael, you will be missed around the world. icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif

I heard this news on the way home. So sad. Made me think of the first Michael Jackson 45 that I had (and still have!).

Summer of 1970 - I was 7 years old. ABC

When I heard about it earlier I did a google search and kept finding stuff about a death hoax but the death is true it seems.

    Wow... still can't believe it.

I initially thought they were going to say it was a suicide... that everything just finally piled up on him and he cracked. While I am glad it is not that, it's still pretty sad. For all his eccentricities, oddities, and bad publicity, the man was a musical genius. This will be felt around the world, for sure.

I lit a candle on my altar for him. And for Farrah, and for Ed. It's sad. Three legendary icons passing away in almost less than 24 hours of each other.

I don't know how I feel about this, another person is dead?

Sounds like the work of someone who has a Death Note...

On the radio they said he was in top health and just undergone an extensive series of tests for his tour and came out far ahead....now something's really gone wrong here.

I am sad. He was one of if not the biggest inspirations to dance for me!

Very sad- he was a real talent in so many ways. I wish he didn't have a thing for pre pubescent boys. Even after the trouble it brought him, he said on an interview with Diane Sawyer he thought a 36 y/o man should be allowed to sleep with 10-13 y/old boys. I know he never had a childhood and Joe beat his kids, but IMO I think someone did something to him as a kid. Not sure what the autopsy will show, but having all that facial surgery and being under the knife with anesthesia all those times couldn't have helped his heart. RIP MJ

Now it's looking like he was abusing drugs. His personal physician was with him wen the heart attack happened. Talk about killing the goose that laid the golden eggs!

    JPRICHVA-

Who but you remembers Leontyne Price? A talent that was as big as anyone and forgotten by everyone.

For one moment, even if only on this small gay social site, she got a mention and her due. An amazing talent. Better than almost anyone that she was compared to. One of the great vocal talents of the last 100 years. But no one knows her. People remember Ella, and Aretha and later Tina and Gladys and Whitney and Beyonce. But great vocalists? Very few could compare to Leontyne. She was amazing.

I just enjoyed that you mentioned her. It made me remember her and download some of the songs she sang on.
