Ey all,

Im 19 years old and if I eat 1 piece of bread and half of the usual dinner of a normal person on one day, thats a good day. Lately I havent been feelin hungry at all. I know its bad, cause on my age especially u need to eat right, but when I have the feeling before I eat, that if I eat im gonna get sick and throw up. I dont want this, maybe its my daily routine, I work in a bar and I dont have a really tight schedule of eating and sleeping. Does every1 else have a problem like this? When i get out of bed for instance, I drink one glass of orange juice and I eat nothing, I can get through most of the day with that... Its bad and I wanna change it, any tips?

yeah that's pretty bad.
What you need to do is actually EAT breakfast because that starts up your metabolism for the day and it'll make you more hungry throughout the day.

Cause when i skip breakfast I'm usually not hungry through the day either so just try that and hopefully you'll start eating more through the day.

Try to eat before work as well or after. Eat in the car on the way to work or after

Do a research on Mirtazapine.

From wikipedia:

"Due to its common side effect of increased appetite and weight gain, mirtazapine may also be beneficial to patients who are underweight or are having trouble eating. Because of its antiemetic properties, mirtazapine is reportedly useful in the treatment of nausea and vomiting. Mirtazapine has proven helpful in treating gastroparesis, chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV), vomiting following gastric bypass surgery, and hyperemesis gravidarum."

It works perfectly, but the effect evaporates as soon as you stop taking the drug...

Do you have worries about weight gain? If so it could be psychological. I suffered through a horrible bout of Anorexia when I was 15. It started when I was 14 but the summer of my 15th year was bad, I had gone about 35 days without solid food and my Mom threatened to have me put into a hospital and fed through a tube. That helped, a bit. But I always worried I was gonna put on weight so I never felt hungry, I just got sick every time I thought of eating. My Mom would bring food to my room and I'd start dry heaving

In my 20's it was bulimia but that was short lived (just gross) but it was about 2 yrs. Now a days If I'm not at work I eat 1 meal, dinner and that is because I have to cook it for my partner. When he goes out of town I miss days sometimes of eating. I just start doing stuff and forget to eat. (which at my age is bad, I don't lose weight I gain cause my body is hungry and its running on reserves)

If you find items you like to eat, fruit, cereals, eggs and bacon. Stick to those for a while until your appetite gets better. I know during some of my worst bouts with anorexia I drank a lot of fruit juices then started drinking slim fast until I started getting hungry for more food.

sorry to have dragged whole thing out so long.

You anorexic?

Do you drink pop / sugary drinks at the bar?

Are you thirsty?

You do lots of uppers?

1. See a shrink.
2. Stop.
3. You could be sick. Get a blood workup.
4. Stop.

There's a saying: stoke the furnace.

Eat more. See what happens.

Hi

Im definitly not anorexic, I study psychology and I know what anorexic people are like, I'm not. Yes I drink lots of pop, maybe a bit too much.

Im not more thirsty than a normal person, so its not diabetes, if u were thinking of that.

Atm, im hungry so im gonna eat some , yay!

thanks for the replies all.

I don't know how you feel about illegal drugs, or if they're illegal where you live, but your appetite will definitely be stimulated by smoking marijuana...and everything will taste delicious.
