I started a funny t-shirt company a month or two ago. I have had some sales nothing that is going to make me a millionaire not that expected to make huge sales right away.
Anyways, I am considering making a funny gay pride shirt and I am wondering if there is a market for it. Please be aware that I am in no way attempting to offend anyone in any way with this posting.

I plan on the shirt saying...

"Gay Pride
Stick it to the man....

Literally"

I can post an image of the general layout but right now I am only making simple text shirts without images so it would just include the font style, size and general placement.

Well I was hoping to get some sort of feed back. So even if you think the idea sucks I'd like to know what people think about it. Also if you do think the idea sucks could you please tell me why.

I think it's funny, but it also relies on a parody of a kind of revolutionary jargon that nobody's seriously used since about 1970.

Yes this is true, I didn't think about that at the time. I imagine that could cause the idea to loose marketability.

What are some of your other ideas?

I like it. Not "haha" funny but humorous with the play on words.

My initial reaction is that it's crude.

I think the phrase "stick it to the man" is pretty clever especially if it said something like "pride 09" near it. Just dont put "literally" on there-- thats overkill.

I agree. Be careful about explaining your jokes. Sometimes leaving it unsaid has greater effect.

If you have to explain a joke it isn't funny. It's all timing. Like the TShirt that proclaims, "Nobody knows I'm gay." That's just funny.

Thank you for the comments,
I also like the idea of starting the shirt with Pride 09 rather than Gay Pride and I think that dropping the literally would still be funny.

I also came up with these last night

"Can't think straight?
Maybe you're on the wrong team"

"Support gay marriage
Don't you want us to be just as miserable as you?"

I am xavamcuu and I am from Ciudad Jalisco, Mexico. I love your idea of the T-Shirts. It's so cute the way you make it sound honey. I really love the "Stick It" part. I would sure buy one and wear it with pride.

It's amazing how the gay comunity is growing a lot in Mexico. Again, the shirt idea of Gay Pride is so cool and evil. I love it....
