I'm not a big fan of movies that scare the crap out of you. I'm curious about some of those that scared you as a kid, either when you were very small or as a "tween" or teen?

Several: "The Wizard of OZ" ... of course when I was 4 or 5
"Halloween" when I was like 10
"Race With the Devil"... I'll never forget part of it, it scared me big
    time
    "Damian, Oman II".

    And you?

Trailer from "Race with the Devil"

    Ghoulies

I found the ghoulies to be unbearably gross and the death scenes frightening. Didn't help that it also has a creepy clown!

Jaws 3-D also scarred me mentally, with key scenes being when the corpse floats up beside the underwater glass tunnels, when the female water skier sees the fin as she turns around, and when "Bruce" attacks the guy in the inner tube.

    HndsmKansan said"Damian, Oman II".

Please pardon my dickishness here, but I'd love to see a US horror film about an Anti-Christ on the Arabian peninsula. The makers could even connect it with US military involvement in the region, for a literal "evils of war" angle. Why should Britain and the US (and one village in an African state) have all the fun of the Unholiness?

Another one that scared and scarred me was Care Bears: The Movie, which features a blonde, blue-eyed villain named Nicholas who is seduced by an evil book of magic.

Amityville horror cause it was supposed to be real. Actually read book first, though. Became addicted to scary movies after that.
