I agree with Chizzard on this one. I have seen much worse too.

My question is how did he let something like that get so big on his face and not decide to get it checked out when first noticed? It looks like some people don't put health as a first priority.

I'm not sure I'd wait long enough for something to grow that big on my face before doing something about it. You'd have to admit it was pretty impressive.

Now the cyst - I wonder how it was moving. Like it had muscles and nerves and a source of electricity. Very odd.

I'd like to keep one as a pet.

I dunno. A friend of mine developed a lump/cyst behind his ear. Not sure why he didn't go to a doctor, but it got to the size of a marble. But it sorta popped on its own. I guess he rolled over it while he was sleeping. He woke up the next morning, and his pillow was just covered with blood and puss.

Sickening, nasty, repulsive. I watched that one and several more related ones. Why, why, why?

this is why you should NEVER touch your fingers to your face... EVER! All those crevices that form your finger-prints... are also a utopia for all kinds of nasty-ass-shit.

If that didn't disgust you into not touching your face with your fingers, then there is no saving you.

Many people can't afford to see a doctor and would prefer to self-medicate instead.

A cyst developed a few months ago on my left armpit. Within 2 days it got as big as a quarter, but it didn't bulge out of the skin. I could feel it near the tendon in my arm (so it felt). One morning in the shower, I squeezed it as hard as I could and it squirted out with blood oozing on the shower wall. There was a thick mass that I destroyed in the process. The amazing thing is that I checked the area where it supposedly squirted out and I couldn't find a tear or a hole in the skin.

I think that was a worm. I had a cat that had sort of the same thing once. Question is, why on earth would you not go to the doctor long before this thing grew to the size of a lemon on your face? And why would you try to excise it yourself, at home? That's just plain dumb.

The state of the US health care system is inconceivable to many of the lucky ones with insurance.

I was more amused by the guy off camera, with the faggy voice. What a Mary! LOL!

It was fascinating in the "I shouldn't enjoy watching this" sort of way.

Ok in an edit I hadn't watched the linked video before posting. I thought they were the same. The cyst was pretty cool. Whatever that dude was doing on the other video though, that should have seen medical attention. However, having recently watched a blister about that size start erupting like a geyser before my very eyes on my own hand, I can stomach it a bit more. Still.... dude.... that shit needs a doctor.

I worked as a pathologist's assistant for a year and I saw many things most would consider gross: a leg, a kidney the size of 2 footballs, an ovarian cyst with bone, hair and sebum in it, and I even worked on an autopsy. But that video is the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. Never have I come so close to throwing up.

lol, as long as you keep yourself pretty clean, it's not terrible to touch your face. My boyfriend hates people touching his face which annoys me because I really like to (although that could be because he doesn't like it).

I agree, this is horrible and disgusting...but I have seen worse.

I work as a tech in a Trauma/Surgical ICU. We get our share of vascular patients who have multiple complications related to untreated diabetes - complete with wounds. Also, who doesn't love coming across stage 4 bed sores. We get patients that come in with these, especially the immobile and the elderly.

The shit I have seen - you just can't make it up. icon_eek.gif
