Anyone ever pursued someone on craigslist? Or any site online for that matter?

I'm meeting someone tomorrow for the first time. We've been texting and exchanged pics, but Idk what to expect.

I post on a NYC message board about skyscrapers/city life/urban design and met someone once though. We walked around the city all day and had a great time. He was cute too but I was too shy to ask if he was gay (at the time, now it'd be the first thing i'd ask)

Tried a bunch of different online sites over the past few years. adam4adam, manhunt,chemistry.com,yahoo profiles, gay.com,plentyoffish.com Met some nice people along the way, even dated a few. In the end, it isn't the website, it's you and the person you happen to meet. I've found that the online experience can be far different from meeting someone in person. Even people you've chatted with for months or years at a time. Both parties have to want to make it work and truly have an attraction, otherwise it's doomed for failure from day one. Then again it all depends on your expectations. Be optimistic, yet safe / cautious. Lot of freaks out there and not in a good way, ya know..

When you meet someone for the first time, meet them in a public place. It's also a good idea to let someone know where you're going to be and who you are meeting.

LOL it wasn't like that. In fact, I was happily surprised, the guy exceeded my expectations based off pics/convo. We hit it off real well, talked for 3 hours at starbucks til they kicked us out when it closed.

    I'm seeing him tomorrowww

Congrats Brooklynburnin! Hope it works out and I'm glad he wasn't a psycho. I met a friend or two on Craigslist, but I don't think online sites like that are really ideal for meeting people.

I met a guy on a m4m site. we dated for 6 months..extremly sweet guy..he lived in a different town. bottom line after 6 months I found out that everything about him: occupation, school, car etc was a total lie. very upsetting to have the rug pulled out like that. I guess my point is that it is better to meet people that live in your community so you get a true sense of the way they are in their world, with their friends etc.
and remember almost everyone says they are HIV neg.

Update to this- he's a nice kid but he fell for me way way too fast. he would stare at me with these puppy dog eyes and to be honest it was creepy. Not to mention he was TERRIBLE at giving head. I've gotten better bj's from girls. And he was NOT well-endowed.

Disappointing. He's still being very clingy.
